Bed was good but not enough light in the room. Room is not up to the price.

I visited this property for a vacation with my family with two toddlers and another friend's family. -- The design of rooms are very weird and non-standard. The bathroom is right between two beds. If anyone has to use the bathroom at night, bright light falls on everyone's eyes. -- The shower design is even more weird. The shower head is on the side where the door opens, but the shower knob is on the other side. One has to get a full blast of cold water, before any hot water arrives. -- The room cleaning procedure is the wierdest. In all my stays across the years in various Marriott hotels and chains, the standard procedure is to either remove the "DO not disturb" placard from the door handle outside or explicitly request housekeeping / front desk to not service the room. However, here to service the room we need to make explicit request ONLY at the front desk that too by 830am !!!! In spite of requesting for housekeeping and fresh towels with the front desk many times, nothing happened. -- The pool is indoor but the water is super saline. Eyes burn like crazy. Overall, I am NEVER staying at this property again. I would not recommend this property to anyone either.

This was our first time in Monterey Bay. This hotel has 2 beautiful outdoor sitting areas. The view from the rooftop was really pretty. The ocean view is nice but the hotel was a distance away. We were not at the hotel much so it didn’t really matter to us. It is close to the beach. Close to target which was nice because we did forget a few necessities. Our overall stay was great. Staff were always present, pleasant and helpful. There is a 24 hr coffee/tea bar in the lobby too. Very clean. Good continental breakfast.

Plenty of room for families

I want to start off by saying the positive things about my stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the property was clean and the amenities were good. There was breakfast available and it included hot breakfast, and everything was stocked well. There was a gym and pool and the hotel was conveniently located near shopping and food. I also appreciated that I couldn’t hear my neighbors so the walls are thick enough to sound proof. Now the negatives. I reserved a room for 5 (3 adults, 2 kids aged 12 and 8) and the room I got had two queen beds and a couch that turned into another queen sized bed. These beds were NOT queen sized. I have a queen at home. My husband and I both agreed it was more full sized. Also the blanket/sheets were so small that every time one of us moved in bed, the other got uncovered because of that. Even my two kids complained that the bed felt cramped. My dad stayed on the fold out couch and he said it was extremely uncomfortable. Also the room was very narrow, so not much room to walk around in. Also the bathroom had a sliding door that looked like it was about to fall off and the lock didn’t work. The room was clean with a mini fridge, coffee maker, microwave and toiletries so overall it was okay but a little more space would’ve been nice.

Our toilet was not working and our shower was not working, I demand compensation immediately

This location is super convenient

Property was nice but room smelled like weed. I notified staff and they sent someone to spray some air fresher. I was a little disappointed because I never have an issue with any Marriott properties. Rooftop heaters did not work.

Extremely stinky indoor pool. Poor maintenance. A/c unit built next to bed makes it a huge inconvenience for some guests who end up sleeping next to a/c unit that ended up running non stop all night.

It was an amazing stay. I will definitely go back!

My stay was amazing. Everyone was nice, the place was nice, breakfast in the morning and drinks at night. The only downfall was the beds. I’m not sure if it’s just how sleeping during the night but they’re comfortable when you first lay down but when you wake up, you might be in some pain and the pillows aren’t much of pillows. They remind me of airplane pillows just bigger and less padding

Upon checking in, I presented a different credit card for my stay. Ann was very professional and the transaction was completed. She is a credit to your company. As a retired travel professional, I appreciate customer service. When I got to my room, I found that my American Express was charged for the entire amount-pending. I went back to the desk. She assured me it would not be charged, and when I completed my visit, it would be charged to my Visa. My trip is over, I am home and both credit cards are pending for the full amount. I called the Hotel and was sssured it would not progress pending. Fingers crossed. Otherwise, the staff was remarkable, the breakfast with fresh spinach & vegetables for omelettes, your outdoor areas, pool, and roof top were a real plus. Kim stood out for her pleasant and accommodating manner. We had a wonderful stay.

Family of 5, we stayed for the weekend. The room was great, breakfast was a 10 out of 10! Would absolutely come back to stay. V Close to everything!
