Travelodge by Wyndham Escanaba

The kitchen/eating area was dirty. I'm surprised. Bed comfortable. Carpet gross. Front desk check in person was very nice.

Older building but obvious attempts to upgrade... clean and staff was courteous

Traveling and served the purpose of a night's stop, however, beds were extremely uncomfortable

This hotel needs an overhaul. Our room was not very clean. The blind on the window didn’t work properly. The door to the bathroom didn’t open all the way because the toilet was in the way. The door to the room didn’t close automatically. Had to be sure to pull or push it closed.

Ok, butnot great

This property is good place if you are going to events at the UP State Fair Grounds (it is just across the street). It is not a fancy hotel, more bare bones than fluff. The breakfast area is very small and hard to navigate.

Not bad, but not exceptional

Check in was fast staff was nice. While checking in you could hear kids running up and down the hallway on the 2nd floor, they did stop running when we came around the corner off the stair well. Never found an elevator. Was a nicer room but I feel like maybe a $100 room not close to $200. If the bed was not hard as a rock I might go back if in that area again.

It was okay -close to main road - kind of noisy. Very minimal breakfast

Room was clean and easily assessable for 50+ guests. Only has a shade on the bottom floor rooms so privacy or using the lights were an issue. Only muffins and donuts for breakfast.

The shower had lukewarm water. The toilet and sink in the bathroom were very low.

When I checked in there was no one at the desk and had to call to get someone there. As I went around outside to the side door to get to my room the outside door was not locked or even latched. My room was in the second floor but the stairs looked like they had not been cleaned in quite some time with trash in the corners. Our room appeared clean at first but the floors were definitely not vacuumed since I found a quarter right next to the bed. Remote for tv did not work ( property knows this since their “how to use remote” description says sorry the remote doesn’t work as the first thing on the paper. Bathroom had hair all over the floor from previous guests. Would not recommend breakfast. If you saw a mouse trap in the kitchen right by the food and the state of unclean I don’t think you would want to eat there either. A bed to sleep on and not much more.

Well, you get what you pay for. Room was rather small. Room darkening shade, but not a regular one; it was either dark or open to the world. Breakfast was sparse. The whole place was dark and needed updating. It’s a Wyndham property and I asked at the desk about Wyndham Rewards program. They didn’t seem to know anything about it.

The room was recently redone and very quiet and comfortable. We didn't want for anything within our room. The hotel itself needs some updating (*maybe they're working on that?) Staff was pleasant. Cleanliness, hallways had bags of garbage in them (from other guests) that could be picked up. The parking lot itself needs re-paving and re-marking. But overall value for what we paid was good! We will rebook for next year's event.
