Great place to stay. Loved the hot tubs and lazy River. Bring your own float.

Unless you get there before 4 PM, you won’t get the volcano bay view you paid for. We pre checked in at 2:30 pm and room was to be ready at 4 pm. We didn’t get our room until 7 pm

I stayed in Cabana Bay three nights with my family! We did our check inn about 7 am and let our luggagge in a luggagge service and go to the park. The hotel was verry good. Clean and fresh! The pool water could be more hot.. mas but every thing was exccelent! Only in the parking lot we didn’t know where to put the tickes.. to open always take some time!

It is such a unique nicely decorated hotel. So much food selection at the diner. When we checked in we were given the last room farthest away from the lobby in americanas so lots of walking to and from the room which was a downside. Would stay here again definitely.

We enjoyed our stay at Cabana Bay. Our timing might have been tough with all the DECA events and the school vacations as the pools were crowded but all around enjoyed our stay. Transport to all parks and City Walk was a breeze.

Dear Universal Guest Services, I’m writing to express my serious concerns regarding our recent stay at Cabana Bay Beach Resort. This trip was intended to celebrate my son Liam’s birthday, but it turned into an incredibly frustrating and disappointing experience due to multiple issues with both service and safety. Upon arrival, we discovered that the sink in our room was not functioning and had to place a work order to have it repaired. We then called the front desk twice requesting that our room be made up, as the sheets on the bed already had blood on them. Despite assurances, no one came. On the third attempt, a staff member finally arrived—but instead of addressing the issue, he threw a bag of linens and towels on the floor at my feet and walked away without a word. This level of disregard and lack of hospitality was completely unacceptable. To make matters worse, when we attempted to use the elevator near the gym to go downstairs, we noticed that the top of the elevator appeared to be falling in. This posed a serious safety hazard, especially considering it could have fallen and struck our child. Between the unsanitary conditions, poor service, and dangerous maintenance issues, this experience fell far below what we expect from a Universal resort. I am requesting that this matter be addressed immediately and that an appropriate resolution or compensation be provided for the stress, inconvenience, and risk we were exposed to during what should have been a celebratory.

Admittedly I’ve only stayed at the higher end Universal hotels so perhaps my expectations were too high, but at $300 per night, I would NEVER recommend this hotel. It took 30 full minutes to check in. Many employees were available yet sitting at the desk not taking guests. The pull out bed was broken. Most of the plugs didn’t work. It was bizarre. In the morning, half of our tech wasn’t charged bc the plug were out of order and we didn’t know. I had to curl my daughter’s hair (cheer- that’s why we are here) in the kitchen because not a single plug in any of the bathrooms work. The pool area is very nice, but my son just came out of the restroom saying he couldn’t wash his hands bc the sink didn’t work. Our room key wouldn’t open any of the pool gates (despite turning the little light green). Universal either needs to lower the price of the stay or seriously update the property.

I liked the convenience of the property. Plenty of food options, able to get items like sunscreen, diapers, shirts etc. always a chair available by the pool. Didn’t have to wake up super early to get a chair with an umbrella. Always pool towels available. Lifeguards at the pools were top tier-made for a great water experience for everyone in the pools.

Great stay

we had a great time when we stayed. The only issue we had was when we checked in. It took a very long time. The line was very long. Everyone was very friendly. The only issue we ever had was if we waited too late we couldn’t get washcloths they were ran out at night time. The employees were very nice and helpful. We enjoyed being so close to the waterpark and having an entrance to walk up to it was very convenient. The buses helped us out majorly!

Two great swimming pools, one with a giant slide and the other with a lazy river, as well as small bowling alley and game room offered lots for young teens and kids to do. Within walking distance of Volcano Bay is a plus. Rooms are okay. Food is acceptable and prices reasonable but they need a second, better dining option.

We love Cabana Bay! Our kids love it and we love that we can get into Universal early! Great place!

The carpets were dirty, the curtains did not close all the way, there was a gap at the top, and all the lights on the property made it nearly impossible to sleep. It was hard to sleep with all of the exterior lights. The neighbors were very loud. The elevators were dirty, the carpets were dirty. While I understand the 1950 nostalgia I did not need cheap shampoo and soap from a Lowers resort. By far the most disappointing universal hotel I have stayed at and we go annually.

The property overall was an excellent stay, but they failed to mention that construction was being done. Rooms aren’t cleaned everyday so constantly have to beg for towels and such. I have never stayed at a resort like this. I went doing spring break so maybe they weren’t prepared for the crowd. They promised me a refund on parking which I have yet to receive
