Salutation Inn

The room was comfortable and the staff were friendly. We ate dinner and breakfast, both of which were good and served quickly. This was real value for money and we would recommend this small hotel to other users

Rooms were in very poor repair and long overdue a refurb. They were actually reasonably clean but wear and tear and lack of maintenance just made them look grubby and rundown. Service in the bar and dining room was slow and inattentive and while two of the staff were friendly enough, one individual was offhand and gave the impression we were a nuisance to her. The ladies cooking and serving breakfast were far more professional and friendly. Overall the food was OK but some the sides really let it down. Very limited selection of drinks on tap.

Good little hotel, everything as you would want it. Handy that rooms were on ground floor. Although on a main route traffic wasn't noticable

A wonderful stay and staff were so friendly and helpful. Comfortable room. Powerful shower which we aren’t used to!

Clean, comfortable, ample parking, and generally pleasant stay. Breakfast finishes very early, but it was lovely, and worth having. Generally, fuss-free, pleasant stay, would recommend.

People were friendly. Very clean and comfortable. The issue is it was short on amenities (tiny shower gel), no lotion and no face cloths. Plus they to add some more hooks to hang towels.

It's an old coach house which still maintains a lovely atmosphere and welcoming charm. Good Food, Lovely Staff. Always stop here when visiting friends and family.

The room was cold and very damp throughout , the wall blackening on the Window side and smelled of damp. Was not allowed to eat in my room, have never stayed at any inn or hotel where I was unable to take my food into my room. Breakfast was lovely and the staff very pleasant, the bath and water pressure was great , however with the damp feeling in the room and no heating on, I would not stay again.

Best thing was having a bar and food available, ehich negates the need to eat out. Staff, a d the locals were very pleasant

Very much like a Travel Lodge/Premier Inn. Clean room, en suit bathroom,TV, Wi Fi, desk, one easy chair, no frills, no character. OK for a short stay when you can be out all day. Not a place to stay in on a wet day.
