super good trip in Borobudor!

Recommended for family recreation, come here at least once because the place is truly beautiful, natural and the staff are also friendly.

An impressive wonder of the world, depicting how magnificent the kingdom was in the past in Indonesia.

This is my fourth trip to Borobudur, and it seems to be getting more and more expensive. There's a special ticket to climb (three times more expensive), but you're provided with a guide and special traditional sandals. Unfortunately, the guides mostly explain the meaning of life rather than the history or architecture of the temple. It's good enough, but not very satisfying. There are other museums in the area, but they cost extra. There's a shuttle bus on the way there and back, but the return shuttle bus station is much further away. There's a nearby shuttle bus available, but it also costs per person. The park area is actually great for picnics and relaxing, but perhaps because it's still an active place of worship, bringing food is prohibited. Honestly, for an Indonesian, I feel like this place of Indonesian pride is becoming increasingly difficult to reach for Indonesians.

Accompanied by an informative tour guide, you can also take photos, there are also shuttle facilities and many unique and affordable Borobudur souvenirs.

It's easy to exchange tickets at the ticket exchange counter. Unfortunately, the app doesn't offer tickets for sunrise and sunset.

The staff was very helpful when I had a problem exchanging tickets I purchased online. The place is clean and beautiful, but it's very hot, and the temple area is quite far, so you have to walk.

Borobudur is now neatly arranged and clean, from check-in until completion, the service is good and satisfying.

The place is nice, and the staff is friendly. If you've already purchased a ticket for the courtyard only, you can go to the lobby to enter the temple. Tickets are non-refundable, but you'll have to pay an additional fee based on the temple entrance fee.

Buying tickets through the app makes entry easier; just scan them at the entrance. Borobudur has been significantly upgraded. The atmosphere is cool thanks to the many shady trees. You can upgrade your ticket to climb the temple, but you'll be exhausted by the walk through the gardens.

It was extraordinary, because the children were happy while on holiday while learning about the history of Borobudur Temple.

Amazing time in Borobudur. There are many people said the ticket is expensive, but actually it’s worth buying. You are not just visiting the temple, but also gain knowledge about the relic and history from the tour guide, so you will have a full understanding about Borobudur. I remembered many years ago I went here, the place used to be unorganized as now. I am glad that they preserved it better than before. It caught my eye how around the temple has more plants than it was before. Probably it’s because they relocated the public market and the entrance. In my opinion, they do it right for Borobudur, so the experience feels more convenient for whoever visits the place.

Now, climbing to Borobudur is much more scheduled and less crowded. Replacement sandals and guides are provided throughout the temple area.
