Although the property is an older one, the facilities are very nice and provide a warm family “Old Florida” ambience. Sadly, we noticed significant inconsistencies in service. While some staff were outstanding, such as the female bartender in the bar most evenings, others seemed clueless about customer service. Housekeeping was inconsistent (one of our two rooms only received full housekeeping service 1 day during a 6 night stay). We found no towels by the pool and an indifferent attendant “oh, I guess I will have to go get some more. Should be back in about half an hour”. We also noticed trash cans that weren’t emptied around the property in several locations, and irregular service in the dining room (15 minute wait for ice water and a menu after being seated by the hostess). And room service trays were rarely collected. I really expect better service at these prices.

Nice place. Rooms a little dated but fine. Coffee in room excellent. No Ice machines. Need to go to front to get ice or wait to have some one deliver a bag. Not terrible but not perfect. Loaner tennis racquets Terrible. Courts really nice but bring your own if you want to play. Umbrellas and chairs for the beach NOT free and are expensive. $32 just for umbrella. Thought is came with resort fee. That was disappointing. Overall good stay.

We loved our stay at Lagomar, it is a wonderful property, right on the beach with pools and amenities that are wonderful. The rooms were clean, and although the decor was a bit dated, it was not worn and was superb in every fashion. The only thing I would warn about is they offered suites claiming an extra twin bed in addition to the king bed. But when we checked in, we were told there were no such rooms that the twin bed was really a rollaway bed. That caused a glitch in the plans our family had made, but we adjusted and had a wonderful time. Judge for yourself the importance of this as you book because this really is a wonderful place with great service.

We booked 3 rooms for a family cruise and got into Fort Lauderdale by 1030. We went ahead to hotel to hopefully store our luggage and was pleasantly surprised we had been upgraded to a suite for 2 rooms plus was allowed into one suite room early as in 1030. No extra charge for early arrival and no resort fee. We got to enjoy the pool area which is beautiful and huge. Has lots of shade and ability to order food and drinks. Next morning uber to cruise port was easy. I will stay here again! Don’t hesitate to book. We could see Oasis of Seas from balcony the next morning which was our ship

Very nice, quiet beach attached. Property is a little dated with some kids amenities needing repair or replaced. Beach rentals were a bit pricey. Overall, very nice place to stay with easy access to other areas in Ft Lauderdale but the ability to come back to a calm, not crowded beach at the hotel.

Absolutely perfect. Our family lived this property for all ages. Wonderful beach and facilities and close to the cruise port. Loved it!

Resort looked way better in the pics. Bathroom could have used upgrading and was very tight. Room was spacious and pretty clean. Overall grounds seemed run down.

My stay at Lago Mar Beach Resort was truly special. The resort itself is beautiful and peaceful , but what stood out the most was the staff. Every person we encountered was incredibly helpful, kind, and welcoming. Their warmth and attentiveness made us feel right at home. The beach could’ve used a little more maintenance during our visit, but it didn’t take away from the overall experience. What made it even more meaningful for me was learning that the owners share the same last name as my family — I was hoping to meet them and say hello, but it didn’t quite happen. Still, it added a personal touch that made the visit feel even more special. Thank you to the entire Lago Mar team for such a wonderful stay. I’m already looking forward to coming back!

loved the room and the beach. Breakfast was great. Only thing was, we thought it was a bit expensive to rent 2 beach chairs and an umbrella for $60/day!

Lago Mar is a lovely resort, with ease access to the beach ,2 large pools, live music. It is also nice for dining and you can expect a family and safe environment. This was my 5th trip with my family and want to go back.

After 11 years we came back. It was still great. We enjoyed staying at the pool. Breakfast and staff were great

Great older property that reminds you of a classic beach club. Nice restaurants and the staff is great. Beautiful beach access and thebrooms are very spacious. Great place to stay before a cruise.

The beach is quite a distance..especially if you have any health issues. They have a small amount of longe chairs under one big tarp. All these chairs are on top of each other. You can not move your chair. It is a very long walk to the actual water. They have beach chairs and umbrellas close to water but you have to pay for them..umbrella and 2 chairrs avg $65...so needless to say i was stuck at pools. Adult pool just ok...other pool loud with kids. Also no bar or food service...must get your own. No cash accepted so everything gets charged to your room. Shower has no water pressure. Other than that its not bad..i wouldnt return because of the beach. Parking is free..when we pulled up i asked the valet driver if it was free, to confirm, and he said yes but you must tip. That i thought was rude...of course i would tip. Again beach situation is horrible.

Really enjoyable stay at Lago Mar. Very reasonable prices, spacious rooms and comfy beds. Resort is clean, large with lots of complimentary activities, pickle ball, table tennis, mini golf and is right on the beach which is beautiful. Breakfast is $21 each adult and $9(i think) per child and is a buffet style and lovely. As per other reviews, rooms could do with being updated but they are clean and comfy. Highly recommend.
