Not super fancy, but great for a place to sleep and be right in the mix of things!

In some ways the interior is like John Cleese’s Faulty Towers ,with the quirky stair wells , halls and main desk location . The desk is on the second floor , which I’ll bet was located on bottom floor where the cool looking pub is located . Everything is old any nicely kept up from paint to carpets . Beds and linen were comfortable and the towels and fluffy . Room had no odd smell .No mold or mildew in bathroom and double shower . Room a bit warm with the older hot water heating pipes around the room so opening the window and putting on older air conditioner when we were out . Was very quiet in the building and our room except for a bit of noise from upstairs shower water pipes . Lots of older ceiling and floor moldings and the sink was located near the bed . Toilet and large shower in bathroom. Overall simple ,clean and interesting looking room . Parking is the only issue . A bit confusing out front on the 2 car parking as you go sign in and unload your bags go upstairs check in , get a parking permit for a parkade 2 small blocks away . First off driving up to the Hotel , there is a city sign indicating the road is for pedestrians . Ignore and park in the small 2 car length pull out or do like we had to temporarily do and use an underground parade just on the side road . People don’t think to park in front of the hotel pullout so a second car could fit there . Overall i would recommend asvery good location and was one of the lowest prices in the older downtown city area .

Would rate full stars but the only downside is that we couldnt cast netflix or other platforms to TV. Apart from that, staff was very accomodating!

I was very appreciative of the desk staff. Each of the ones we interacted with was kind and helpful. My husband was injured in a fall--NOT at the Bedford. When I asked for ice, the young man at the desk had a bag ready when I got to the desk and also offered a bag of towels if we needed them. Thanks.

I loved the property but I think parking should be included, also, it was hard to find on google maps because you can't actually drive to the front of the building. You need to park and walk there

Loved the location right in the heart of Victoria - everything we needed and wanted was within walking distance. Hotel is in older building which added to its charm. Would definitely stay here again.

Very central, great location walking distance to explore the city. The hotel is a bit dated but for the price in comparison to others it was great for us. The staff were friendly and the bedroom was large

This property is so central in Victoria. It is an aged property but super clean and still comfortable. The aircon is small which was bothersome during our stay as it was loud and didn’t really cool the room, the windows do open, but you will hear when someone decides 2am is the appropriate time to do street karaoke. Rooms are clean and spacious

I did not like guitar playing with stereo below my window after midnight the 24-hour desk service if you call never answered. Put you on a record until I went down there and he was on the phone talking with someone. Also, there were no huge mirrors in the room. Bathroom did not contain a sink kitchenette did not have any utilities, dishes or pots of pans. The only good person at that place was the welcoming agent at the desk. When I arrived he was excellent. Otherwise everything else failed. I had to get dressed go downstairs as the phone was not being picked up to complain about the guitar singing singing with the stereo under my window. He offered another room but there was no way we would move all our stuff over to another room as we were only staying there another night. We will bear it

Older building and decor but clean rooms. Location is perfect for walkable downtown sites, shopping and dining out. Only setback is offsite parking. We parked at parkade across from New Balance shoes $17.95 day. You can stay parked overnight but must pay following morning before 9am. Spoke with attendant about this

Location is great, right down town, with amazing Whiskey Bar next door. Building and rooms are old, and not everything was working properly - AC did not work and bathroom fan made loud noise like it was going to break. Hotel is decent for the price and ok for a one night stay, but beware that it is older and you have to park 2 blocks away.

Bed was horrible, the springs were felt at every move. Didnt have proper sheets on the bed, the jet tub was questionably cleaned.
