In some ways the interior is like John Cleese’s Faulty Towers ,with the quirky stair wells , halls and main desk location . The desk is on the second floor , which I’ll bet was located on bottom floor where the cool looking pub is located . Everything is old any nicely kept up from paint to carpets . Beds and linen were comfortable and the towels and fluffy . Room had no odd smell .No mold or mildew in bathroom and double shower . Room a bit warm with the older hot water heating pipes around the room so opening the window and putting on older air conditioner when we were out . Was very quiet in the building and our room except for a bit of noise from upstairs shower water pipes . Lots of older ceiling and floor moldings and the sink was located near the bed . Toilet and large shower in bathroom. Overall simple ,clean and interesting looking room . Parking is the only issue . A bit confusing out front on the 2 car parking as you go sign in and unload your bags go upstairs check in , get a parking permit for a parkade 2 small blocks away . First off driving up to the Hotel , there is a city sign indicating the road is for pedestrians . Ignore and park in the small 2 car length pull out or do like we had to temporarily do and use an underground parade just on the side road . People don’t think to park in front of the hotel pullout so a second car could fit there . Overall i would recommend asvery good location and was one of the lowest prices in the older downtown city area .
