Great inn to stay in downtown Exeter! Friendly staff, clean, quiet, and comfortable room. Continental breakfast included and free parking.

Beautiful room in a grand building in the historic neighborhood. Nice cold breakfast with a selection of juices. Loved sitting outside drinking my coffee in the morning and looking at the flowers.

Stay was fine, easy and friendly check in - traditional hotel desk. Blinds in room were broken in both windows so had to tie them up with the cord. Continental breakfast was probably the poorest one I have had in a long time. packaged and pre fab - no fresh fruit - disappointing. Bed was comfortable but pillows were lumpy.

The photos of The Exeter Inn and the ratings were not as we found the actual location and our room. The carpet was dirty as well as bathroom floor and molding. We also found that we could have paid much less if we had worked directly with the Inn.

Very charming. Great location. Our only suggestion is the room we were in (3rd floor), the lighting was very poor in the bathroom. The shower ceiling is such a steep angle that we couldn’t stand upright in it.

It's a lovely old building from the outside. Road and train noises, plus room heater which was noisy whenever it kicked in--kept waking us up. Dining was less than appealing. Frozen fish fillets with the fish and chips dinner. Half chicken was all dark meat (leg and thigh). No tablecloth (although cloth napkins) Breakfast was mediocre. Milk was sour. Toaster didn't heat up for bagels. We waited 10 minutes for it and gave up.

The staff were always very friendly and helpful, They upgraded us at no extra cost and the complimentary breakfast was good. It was also nice being able to open a window for fresh air, unlike other hotels where the windows are sealed

My husband and I stayed here recently for a USA Hockey weekend event at the Rinks at Exeter. This hotel was perfect. It is located 5 minutes from the Rinks, and it is a 10min walk to a very cute downtown area with multiple coffee shops and breweries/restaurants. We did not spend an excessive amount of time in the hotel, but it was peaceful and clean. It is an old hotel, but has been kept up nicely. The only thing I noticed that was missing was a fan in the bathroom. The staff was friendly and helpful, location was perfect, and I would recommend staying here for an event like what we attended, or a couple's weekend.

Smallest room I've ever stayed in, anywhere...not even a dresser/chest of drawers. Room was drafty, cold coming through windows...took some effort to get the heat to stay on. Bathroom sink very slow to drain. Uncomfortable pillows. Breakfast from attached restaurant (separate charge) was nothing special.

It was a very quaint experience. We also enjoyed the Trackside Diner nearby. Highly recommended.

I'm staying for work I have nearby, so the simple basics and very excellent shower was a plus. Thanks - DJ
