Everything was falling apart Elevator,ac unit, sofa bed /it does not worth for $600 a night

Extreme disappointment with our recent stay at the Residence Inn by Marriott Virginia Beach. Our experience from June 15-19 was deeply unsatisfactory, and I feel it's important to bring these issues to your attention. Upon our arrival at 10 PM on June 15, we were met with a strong, unpleasant odor in our initial room. Rooms are not the same. Despite our exhaustion, we tried to overlook it, but soon discovered large flying insects in the room, which greatly distressed our children. We immediately contacted the front desk, who assured us help was on the way. After an hour passed with no one arriving, my husband, despite the damaged elevator, went down to the front desk. He was again assured that someone would be sent with bug spray. Another hour went by, past midnight, with no assistance. We then discovered more bugs in the sink and spiders crawling on the bathroom walls. We requested a room change, but were initially told no other rooms were available. After much frustration, at 1 AM, we were finally offered a room on the 14th floor. We repacked all our belongings and moved, only to find the new room had a severely leaking shower head with no water pressure, a problem that persisted despite our multiple attempts to get it fixed. A plumber was eventually sent, but he was only able to address the water flow, not the leak. For the entirety of our four-night stay, we endured the constant noise of the leaking shower. Additionally, the room curtains were broken. So many issues.

All staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. Very helpful and supportive. The only downside I have to say is our room was only cleaned maybe the first 2 days out of the 7 we stayed. They would come knock in the door, but if we were out the door by 11ish they didn’t seem to have come back after that knock. At least the pile of dirty towels u see the sink never got taken away. But overall I would ABSOLUTELY recommend this location to anyone looking to stay in Virginia Beach

My stay was amazing for clean very friendly staff conviently located. Only issue needs better handicap parking but plan to and will stay at this hotel again. Room was very roomy and fully equipped kitchen

4 nights family trip. Booked 1 bedroom suite. I’ll mention fantastic staff first. Excellent location, clean rooms, kitchen with 4 burner stove, fridge, microwave, balcony overlooks ocean, tasty and ample breakfast options, nice pool and a small jacuzzi to relax and soak in, food options both right, left and infront of the hotel. Parking is challenging since hotel has very limited and tight spaces. But they offer free valet service which keeps the car at a nearby lot. So make sure to call for your car before coming down. 1 minute walk to the beach so that’s brilliant. I would however request maintenance of air conditioning unit. Atleast in our room it was either too cold or too hot. This is one hotel you don’t want to miss if you are coming to Virginia Beach.

Our first night we did not have ac. They moved us to a room that was bigger. Then about 10 mins later told us we had to move again bc someone else needed that room in the morning. They moved us to the top floor. Sounds cool but not when they’re doing construction on the roof? We were woken up to drilling most mornings of our 5 night stay. We didn’t know there was construction, which I understand they need to get there work done but maybe they could have warned us? Idk it made the trip a little less enjoyable bc we weren’t able to sleep in.

We recently stayed at the Residence Inn Marriott Oceanfront in Virginia Beach, and it was perfect for our group. It was myself and a friend traveling with eight kids (ages 7-12), and this hotel had everything we needed. The location is excellent—right on the beach—and the staff treated us like gold. The free valet parking was a huge bonus, making things so much easier. The rooms felt like little one-bedroom condos, with plenty of space and everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The pool and hot tub were saltwater, so even after six days of swimming, the kids didn’t get chlorine-damaged hair or irritated skin. A highlight was the free hot breakfast, which far exceeded expectations. Every morning, there were scrambled eggs, sausage or bacon, a waffle station, bagels, hard-boiled eggs, oatmeal with toppings, and more. Even with picky eaters, everyone found something they liked. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We also loved that the lobby had coffee, tea, and fresh water available all day. We felt safe, well taken care of, and truly enjoyed our stay. This hotel exceeded our expectations, and we would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend!

We had a great room on the second floor. Unfortunately one of the elevators was under construction, however it is supposed to be fixed sometime this week. We just used the stairs, so no big deal. The breakfast was excellent, eggs, bacon, sausage, and potatoes along with yougart, cereal, fruit, juice and coffee. One of the better complimentary breakfasts I've had in a while. The parking can be a challenge, very small and limited spaces, however they have attendants that can help you along with valet parking availible for a small fee. All in all I would stay here again.

Toilet not secured to bathroom floor. Sliding doors in living room area defective, heating/cooling insufficient. Safe did not work.

We loved the big room with full kitchen and ocean view. We were there during the holiday of lights, so they were right outside our window. We would stay again, and it was very very very dog friendly

Stunning and convenient oceanfront location, pet friendly.

Spacious room, large patio/balcony, beautiful view of the ocean, walk right out to boardwalk, good breakfast, nice indoor pool, friendly staff

There was no hot water, even after repeated attempts issue was not resolved. Have to take a cold shower every day when the temperature outside was freezing Also water condensation from the window leaked water inside the bedroom when the temperature went down
