This hotel is in a great area and easy to hop on the bus or train from. The staff were all fantastic! Best part is free breakfast, fika (afternoon coffee/tea), and dinner! Saves a ton of money in expensive Oslo.

Very good area ,close to everything plus include buffet dinner .The food was fantastic!!!! I would come back here again.

As a last minute trip to Oslo, the hotel fits into my budget and location was great. A nice 15 to 18 minutes walk from the central station and close to the city center. The room was very clean and bed comfortable. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Excellent breakfast and polite welcoming by reception staff. It is an outdated hotel but with great location. Elevator not working, glass door a few steps up from reception was very, very dirty.

I had an enjoyable stay here. Desk staff was very nice and the room was small but clean. The entire hotel seems a bit dated but my room had a somewhat recently updated bathroom which was nice. I would, however, not suggest staying there Thursday-Sunday as there is a club across the street that plays INSANELY loud music until 3am. I’m usually a deep sleeper but the music kept me up most nights.

Great experience, the restored hotel is well positioned, with easy walking to everything.There are plenty of shops, bars, restaurants and coffee shop very close by. The added bonus was the light dinner which was very generous and tasty. The breakfast menu is a smorgasbord with a great variety of foods. Pastries were great each day.

Friendly, helpful staff. Breakfast and dinner included. Room not cleaned each day unless requested.

Hotel room was fine. Had a family room due to needing a second sleeping area and the sofa bed was very uncomfortable. Room also faced the courtyard and was very loud due to the number of times that the bar was throwing away trash and breaking bottles. Breakfast was ok and the lobby was very small. That said, the front desk staff was terrific and very helpful with answering our questions and providing help when needed.

I love the area around the Clarion Hotel Savoy, but it is an aging property, and my room was not properly equipped when I arrived. While I had bath and hand towels, there was no bath mat. Even though the room is small, there was room for a hot water heater and mugs for drinking tea or coffee. Nor any tea or coffee provided guests. There was just a single glass. There was only one hanger on the pegs provided for clothes. Happily, the young man on reception the night I arrived (Henrik(?) so sorry, I'm terrible with names), was wonderfully accommodating. He found some hangers, apologied for not finding more than three, and found a bath mat, all of which he brought me. The staff had, in prior conversation, offered to set aside a dinner plate, as I didn't check in until 10 pm. The dinner plate was heated for me and was just right. I was very pleased with that service. The breakfasts are lovely, and the free dinner was also nice, though I might opt for eating elsewhere in future, to explore Oslo's offerings. I do love the area, and overall, once I settled in, except for there being no option to have coffee or tea in my room without first making a trek to one of the dining rooms, it was just fine.

I commend the front desk guy who was keeping things calm and continuing to operate while dealing with a medical emergency of one of the staff.

Great hotel in a convenient location for public transport options. Would definitely stay again.
