Staff was great and location was perfect for wandering for sights.

The Sofitel is well located in Strasbourg, close to all the major attractions and public transport. The staff are friendly and attentive. The hotel is somewhat worn in places with stained carpets in corridors and room lobbies. Bed was clean and comfortable and the room was quiet.

Staff were nice and housekeeping was great (very clean), this review is about the condition of the hotel. The hotel definitely doesn’t feel like ‘5 stars’; dated & run down, musty/damp room smell that doesn’t go away, a lot of ambient HVAC background noise. Won’t be booking Sofitel by default again for a while.

The AC struggled hard and it was not that hot outside. We (7of us) sweated like heathens through the night on hard, lumpy beds.

The AC never cooled the rooms, it was always hot and didnt feel the air moving. The hotel staff did not do anything about it. It is rated as a 5 star hotel and it should not be rated like that. It felt like a 3 star hotel

Everyone was very friendly and helpful, food was very good specially breakfast, the room I stayed in was on the 3rd floor near a major renovation. But overall it was comfortable stay. Thank you

Staff were friendly and courteous. Concierge services were excellent. Hôtel itself was clean, comfortable and well positioned. Would definitely recommend to others and would stay here again.

Perfect stay. Very helpful and attentive staff. The breakfast was very good and plentiful. Will stay again without hesitation.

terrible smell on every floor. Old carpet smell. How this Hotel can be rated 4-5 Stars?! Staff is very friendly, they can do nothing about this smell.

The hotel Christmas food stalls and outdoor experience was festive. Central location to the Christmas markets makes it worth the higher cost.

Rooms are not clean, and needed renovation 15yrs ago. Not even close to a five star.
