I chose the Fairmont for the brand reputation. The hotel was great. The experience was terrible. They put a drunk, fighting couple across the hall from me. The couple checked in late, after me. The hotel could have chosen any other room or floor in the hotel, away from guests. I had to call the front desk three times to send security. The couple was fighting and breaking furniture. The screaming was non-stop from midnight until 5 am. I had a conversation with the front desk in the morning. They told me they purposely didn't put the couple on a higher floor because of their condition. I couldn't understand what they were thinking by putting them across from me.

Staff are friendly and timely in response. Facility needs upgrades to flooring and wallcoverings.

Not consistent with Fairmont standards. Will not stay here until significant investment is made to upgrade this property. Wifi charges in 2025 are astronomical and offensive, this is the only property out of my last 20 trips that charges for high speed internet. Have also provided in depth feedback to Fairmont leadership team regarding this property.

Great location. Excellent staff. The beds were a dream!! Careful navigation at night time is needed in this area.

Hotel was just ok. For being the Fairmont and the price, you dont get a lot. Location was great, but construction made it difficulties to get around. Underground tunnel was great, but coming home from the NHL game, doors were locked and made it quite difficult to navigate out.

Television in room did not work, shower head was the cheapest I’ve seen, dry sauna took too long to heat up and didn’t get hot, no USB plugin in rooms (this is available in the cheapest economy hotels)

Always stay here. Love the Fairmont

Accommodating customers accordingly and had to pay for parking even after we couldn’t check into our room. Not very clear on how the payment works for checking in.

Hotel is showing its age and worn out. Not your typical Fairmont

BEWARE...if you have any issues at all, booking through a third party website like this, the hotel will not be able to do anything for you. They will just tell you you have to deal with the website you booked at and when you contact the website they blame the hotel. I HAD to produce a credit card for the deposit, which i dont have, so i was refused a room. Although the website said I may have to put a deposit on the room, it was NOT specified that i had to use a credit card. So after watching an NHL game, i had to risk my and my wifes life driving back to our home 2.5 hours away in the early hours of the morning. I feel that these third party websites are a gross misuse of the internet. You cant even contact the Hotel/Motel directly any more. Who cares about saving 3 dollars on a room. Save yourself a lot of hassle and book a room directly with the place you want to stay. Avoid these money grubbing profiteers who ONLY want your hard earned cash with NO responsibilities. My Wife agrees and thats saying something!! Good luck good people of the world. Other then that ALL the people I dealt with where very nice.

Very nice stay. Wish parking was included with the stay, but hey it’s downtown Winnipeg. Streaming options to sign into on the tv would also be nice. Every staff member encountered was beyond kind.
