Overall a great resort with plenty to do and a friendly and attentive staff. The resort is a little dated however. The ac in the room for example is loud compared to newer hotels and resorts I've stayed at. The kids had a blast at the pools, there's onsite ev chargers and the location is great.

Our stay was very good. The pools were very nice, and it was nice to have an adults only pool. The food options were tasty and very convenient.

Resort was nice and relatively kid-friendly. Pros: there were several pools that were kid-friendly (we traveled with a 5 and 2 year old), with a shape end where toddlers can walk in, but also at least one adult only pool for anyone seeking some peace and quiet; there were lots of towels available for the pool, and lots of seating so long as you arrive before noon; it's right near the beach, with access to the public beach; there were several fun activities to do with kids in addition to pool and beach, such as making bracelets and seashell painting; free duck food available at the front desk, feeding the ducks was a highlight for my toddler; super close to SeaWorld. Cons: the bungalow we stayed in could have been cleaner, we had ants in the bathroom (one day the tub was full of them and we had to call maintenance) and dirt on the floor around the bathroom counter; air conditioner in the room was very loud; our bathroom was missing a door handle on the inside, though they fixed that after we complained; there aren't too many food options and everything is super expensive, if your kids are picky they'll be eating the same thing for lunch and dinner the whole trip; if you want any rentals for the beach the cost is pretty extreme; the beach is public rather than part of the resort so there's no chairs or umbrellas for shade and you have to bring your own towels. Overall we had a fun trip and the resort was good, but not great for the price you pay.

We had a relaxing few days at one of our favorite spots to get away. It is very dog friendly, which we appreciate.

We loved staying at this resort! We stayed at this property in late May 2025 as part of a family trip to San Diego. Check-in was great and our room was awesome. It faced a pond with a fountain, so it was very quiet and serene. The kids loved the mini-golf courses, and it was great to have restaurants within walking distance for breakfast. The Barefoot Bar & Grill was outstanding! The kids loved the pool as well. The location is great because lots of different venues and attractions are close by within a short driving distance (SeaWorld is just across the bridge). We really enjoyed our stay and we would definitely stay here again in the future when we return to San Diego!
