Had a lovely time celebrating partners 60th birthday weekend , hotel was lovely reception staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was amazing .

Excellent service and hotel. However, the pillows were very hard and uncomfortable. Everything else was great.

It was a trip down the memory lane when I was a student in Harrogate. Visited some sights and took a walk to Harlow Carr. The hotel is a short walk from the town centre. It was a very enjoyable stay and trip.

Lovely hotel that is near to everything and has great facilities. Very good food at breakfast and evening meal. Cleanliness of hotel is exceptional and rooms are cleaned daily which makes it a good stay from start to finish.

great location, nice reception area and bar decent size clean and modern rooms very quiet at night - remedial work being undertaken outside and in some of corridors so quite noisy with a lot of dust around. Netting on the outside of our room’s window meant we couldn’t open it. Parking expensive - shouldn’t be a charge for hotel guest.

The rooms are very nice as is the bar area. We had no water pressure at all when we wanted a shower prior to go out for the evening. We were told by reception that a large group at the hotel were all showering? We accepted this. Next morning no hot water and a trickle of cold water. Again no shower. Breakfast was a shambles, queues and then told no tea or coffee pots available. We did not have any tea. Many tables empty but not serviced and unavailable, the breakfast was tepid at best.

Lovely stay at this hotel which is conveniently situated to get around Harrogate on foot. Good parking under the hotel too. Credit to the cleaning staff who do a great job keeping rooms to a high standard!

We have always loved staying at the Crowne Plaza in Harrogate but not this time. The first room allocated had badly stained carpets which need a thorough cleaning. Moved to another room which was marginally better. There is a lot of maintenance work going on. All of the windows on one side are mesh covered which means you can't open the window in a room which is extremely hot. I barely slept due to the heat. Repairs above our room meant constant hammering and noise. Complained to reception for a second time and was given an apology and one complimentary drink voucher each. Breakfast was superb as always, reception area well maintained. For £350 a very disappointing stay with inadequate attention to our disappointment. Not good enough for a four star hotel where we have had many happy stats in the past. We shall go elsewhere next time.

Staff all very nice but bed uncomfortable and breakfast room was a mess, they need more staff to clear!

A two night stay at this lovely hotel which is very well placed in Harrogate. We had a premium room which had the biggest bed I’ve ever seen. Spotlessly clean and well appointed/decorated with a fabulous view (on 8th floor). Reception staff were lovely and check in was quick. Please note this is a card only hotel.

Bed and pillows were very comfy, heard a little noise overnight from inconsiderate guests, but not enough to spoil the stay, would recommend!

Lovely room, all facilities provided, great breakfast. Only criticism is I would prefer a stand alone shower ( rather than one over the bath) and I couldn’t get the hot water from the shower.

Ideal hotel whilst attending a conference. Bedroom excellent with comfy large bed. Bathroom well appointed. I would have appreciated grren / fruits tea option. Breakfast was ok though bread quality not great and honey unavailable today.

From the welcome at the front desk to the team that cleans the rooms, absolutely everyone smiled, everyone engaged in pleasant conversation and everyone made me feel not just welcome but valued. In 50 years of international travel I have seldom felt more at home.

Air conditioning or water boiler started up at 4.30 am creating a loud noise in our room and disturbed our sleep. Even with the window closed the noise woke us up every morning at the same time.

The friendliness of all the staff, the delicious breakfast, the large rooms and location of the hotel are what makes it a very special stay. Close to the railway station, you can visit Harrogate, York, Knaresborough and Leeds. Buses are also plentiful for visiting other areas of Yorkshire. I would not hesitate in recommending this hotel for your stay
