The stay was solid. Morel near the interstate but not downtown. The rooms had been renovated and were modern. The odd part was the floor was slanted. It’s like you walked uphill as you cross the room. That was strange but the room and bed was still solid.

Very quiet place and very friendly staff. The office was not marked very well on where you check-in. Everything was clean. We did not know about the one hundred dollar fee until we checked in that they hold for several days.

Clean, cozy, super friendly and accommodating staff! We arrived at 1230 am and were able to check in and get into our room in five minutes. A great stopover on our way to Maine, would absolutely stay again!

Very adequate hotel in the Portsmouth area. Very pleasant staff, quiet pool in the back. Easy route into town with plenty of malls, access to the highways. The town of Portsmouth is lovely with many restaurant choices and lots of trees and a nice farmer’s market.

One night stay. Room was like a dark cave, lighting outdated and terrible. In middle of night power went out, next morning desk staff said “a few others are without power too, we are working on it”. Power came back on right before check-out time, so no time for showers and already-dark room was terribly dark while packing our things. When we asked for manager at front desk to discuss reduced rate for the one night stay, they didnt speak English, we were given a business card to contact the manager.

Lovely oasis of calm off busy highway. Everything is very clean and all supplies one would need are given. Lovely grassy area with chairs to sit and pool in back.l good area for dog walking. Safety is good and felt comfortable as senior traveling alone to stay here.

We were 5 mins from central Portsmouth area, literally very close to everything, and crossing over to Maine was just as easy and in less than 15mins.

Creative is the best way to describe The Port Inn and Suites. The best part of this roadside motel is the creative description of the bottom shelf amenities and creative photography. The breakfast is pre packaged danish. The elegant cage free eggs were cold eggs, shredded cheese and bacon bits on a half of bagel next to a micro wave. The pancake machine is different, but I did not try them. There was cold cereal and packaged oat meal for your stirring pleasure. The pool was creatively photographed at night so you couldn’t tell that it was in the middle of the parking lot. The glorious photo view from the grassy knoll was hard to replicate on site. The room, thankfully, was clean and adequately furnished. As for strolling to historic downtown, shops, restaurants, music hall and the wharf side parks, don’t try it from The Port Inn; too far and too many highways to cross. Don’t expect any help from the staff at check in. The young man who checked us in was baffled when we asked where the Main Street shops were or if there was any place we should definitely see. When asked for brochures or a tourist map he said, “Yea, we used to have those, but we are out.” He acted as though anything beyond handing you your key and swiping your credit card was above his pay grade so don’t bother. Portsmouth was sensational!A must visit for everyone interested in historic sights, cozy shops, beautiful harbor, culturally rich down town market square, art and music center, and flower lined parks

This is a motel not an “inn.” Can’t believe we paid what we did to stay here. Water damage, mildew smell, mold inside the shower head. Just gross.

I received a very nice welcome from Min and he helped me navigate the area and showed me around the breakfast room. The room was spacious, and I loved the wood floors. The pillows and bed were very comfortable. Breakfast was included, but it was a lot of carbs. I don’t eat yogurt or hard boiled eggs. But everything was nicely displayed. If I was ever in the area again, I would definitely return.

The room we had was very disappointing. It felt like we were in the basement. One single uncomfortable chair, the ac went on when it felt like it and the banging upstairs started at 600 am. Stayed here years ago and it was wonderful. Must have changed hands, will not be back.

Our stay at the Inn was very pleasant. The room was large and appropriately updated, as well as very clean. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The location was not in the center of all the activity, but close enough to be convenient.
