Clean rooms. Good breakfast buffet. Modern hotel in a modern area of town.

I really liked this hotel. The staff were friendly, the location was incredible, the distance to the Old Town is very convenient, and dining and shopping options in the immediate area were frankly incredible. I was very pleasantly and cannot wait to visit again. If I had any minor complaints, I would say the mattress was quite stiff, but honestly, that was it.

Room was clean and basic, but was hot with no temperature control. Also, no exterior window. Spa as nice and a good value.

The room at Hotel Metropol was hot and humid in July, and unfortunately, the window couldn’t be opened. There was no air conditioning, just a small table fan that didn’t help much. No kettle in the room either, which was disappointing. The staff wasn’t particularly friendly, which added to a less-than-great overall impression. It was manageable for a overnigh stay, but I wouldn’t choose it again.

I stayed for three nights in July. The hotel is ideally located—just a short walk from both the harbour and the old town. You really couldn’t ask for a better spot. My room was spacious, clean, and had large windows. The mattress was firm, which I personally prefer, so I found it very comfortable. The pillows, however, were less impressive—they flattened quickly and lacked support. The staff, especially the receptionist, were very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was simple but sufficient, with basic options to start the day. The main drawback—and the reason I’m not giving a higher rating—is the lack of air conditioning in the rooms. It got pretty hot inside, and although the window could be opened slightly, it didn’t help.

A hotel that is in a good location but very basic. The rooms were not as described. The restaurant staff were rude and patronising and not helpful. The rooms did not even have a kettle or tea making facilities and everything needed was a big chore

Ideally located for both the port (we arrived by boat from Helsinki) and the Old Town. Friendly staff with excellent English. Good choice of food at breakfast. Very clean throughout.

Average Hotel but fab location

The Aircon did not work in our room (or was turned off). Loud street outside with parties going on. Very uncomfortable bed and cushion. A let down.

Nice property, located just outside the old town, within walking distance from the ferry too, modern property and great staff and service. Highly recommended

This hotel has cozy and warm rooms. The hotel has a modern style and is very new, and it's only a 5 minute walk to the old town.
