The stay was overall good. I’d say the parking was terrible. We parked across the street for less. I would think parking would be discounted. The common areas were very hot. We couldn’t enjoy the common area for sure. The staff was friendly and the rooms were clean. I wish the rooms had better lighting.

Very interesting seemed creepy smelt like a funeral home. And the restroom showers did not have any shampoo or conditioner no wash cloth to wash your self. After a 5 hour trip I realized I forgot my stuff at home I definitely did not feel like jumping out of the shower to go ask these rooms should be ready for all guests

I liked the historic feel. Your website showed the balcony over looking the Riverwalk. Very deceptive. That was the main reason we booked with you. Are balcony over looked a parking lot. There was no exhaust fan in the bathroom causing the whole room to feel humid and sticky. The AC worked great. Robert was great.

Nowhere to fill water bottles. No room cleaning, shower head was broken, no conditioner, front desk attendant nowhere in sight when trying to check out, and we had trouble getting out of the parking garage because the front desk attendant hadn’t put our license plate in the system hours after we’d checked in.

I'll preface this by saying the hotel and location are not terrible, however there are some things to note. 1. BE AWARE I booked a king room with a balcony abd when I arrived it was an ADA room with two double beds and a VERY bad shower. I spoke to the front desk and sent 4 messages and no one has contacted me. I was more frustrated because this wasn't communicated. I was told it "automatically" did this in the system? I get things happen but how was I never notified of the change? Front desk lady (who was sweet but seemed inexperienced) said she'd "speak to the manager". Im well aware that's a tactic to appease a customer and not actually find a solution. Our second day here there was a lady going down for the sane issue, so Id call to confirm your booking, even then Id be prepared for "automatic" changes. 2. The water on the second floor takes 6-7 minutes to heat up and when it does it's barely above lukewarm. 3. You have to pay nearly $30 a NIGHT for parking in the garage. I get it, it's San Antonio, but this blindsides you unless you read the small print. Altogether the stay was sufficient but we will not be returning. I know the price point is attractive but there are other hotels in that price range with better amenities and customer service. Im interested to see if a manager or customer service actually reaches out to me. As of 7-28-25 I've had no response and I will update this if they do.

It’s listed as a “boutique hotel” but there are no frills. There is no pool. There is no breakfast since Covid. The TV was a Roku and only had some free streaming Chanel’s. The room had a mini fridge and microwave. The WiFi worked. It was clean. It looked ok. The best part was it was about two short city blocks to the riverwalk and the parking was a third of what the other area hotels charged.

O'Brien was a cozy and affordable stay. It's historic feel is definitely preserved there. Staff was kind. Very convenient walk from the riverwalk and Alamo. Though there's no pool or other special amenities I would definitely recommend if you're planning on being out most of the day/night anyway.

Such a beautiful and cozy hotel. Totally got the historic vibe from our stay, the 3rd floor common area was gorgeous! Great location within 5 mins walking distance to all the fun activities near the Riverwalk. Amazing food options all so nearby. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Only downside is that free parking is not included with reservation and costs about $23/day but other than that a great stay!

Small but cute boutique hotel in downtown San Antonio. Staff was amazing from the start. Rooms are small and quaint but comfortable. It's a no frills historic hotel but that is definitely not a negative. The only complaint I have is that the ac wall unit illuminates more light than I care for at night.

The room we stayed in was second floor on street side and it was too noisy. But the bathroom looked like it was just wiped down and not cleaned. There were dirty sheets and the walk in tub tile looked filthy

For an older building it was a very comfortable place to stay. The ambiance was lovely. We had no issues with the room at all.

As a whole hotel was super comfortable. Nice bed, restroom, ac, etc. With that being said rooms as a whole need to be updated, or just fixed up. You can look at the walls and see previous holes in the drywall that have been patched but not a good job what’s so ever. Just little details that catch my eye that could use some reworking. Other than the little things it’s a nice place.

Check in and out was efficient. Location Location Location… I could walk to the Alamo, several points on the Riverwalk, to La Villita, to Shilo’s Deli, to Briscoe Museum , to clubs, restaurants and even CVS pharmacy. Two great amenities not mentioned on the website in addition to coffee maker were microwave and refrigerator. The balcony was great and onsite parking ($25) was easy and convenient. Good mattress and pillows. Quiet and restful. Staff was responsive! Although no food service on site, there are many dining options nearby.
