The Bahia Principe Sunlight was an incredible place. Stayed there for 9 nights and it exceeded expectations. The staff were very lovely and friendly. The food and drink was abundant beyond comprehension! And there was awesome live entertainment everyday and night! Will be staying here again in a couple years time!

The resort is absolutely fantastic. It's very clean, the staff is very friendly, and the pools/views are incredible!

What a place , 55 year old have been on serious amount of holidays. Can’t find a flaw . Went above and beyond what was expected. Wife’s birthday came back to room . Birthday banners , champagne, chocolates and a card . Now that’s a bit class

Enjoyed the stay,staff friendly.Meals were ok,plenty activities taking place.,only problem if you have mobility problems check it out.Would visit again,Theme restaurants very good.In the near future hotel will be closed for a complete refurbishment.

The hotel is amazing. The staff are so friendly and accommodating. The food and drink is excellent with various different choices. A better shower would have been nice in the room as it often went from hot to cold. Would highly recommend this hotel for your holidays

Very very good property for families with children. It just works. Lots of variety in spaces, plenty of room, dining options very good, nothing here is spectacular, aside from maybe the ocean side view and the evening view right down the property when it’s all lit up. It’s peaceful and comfortable, and your kids will love it.

The hotel overall is nice enough, but is dated & requires updating. The variety & choice of food at the buffet is lacking slightly as well.

The Hotel amenities were superb. The room was clean, and they kept it clean every day. The all inclusive is good, but the variety of food could be better. A massive shout out for Erica and Yolanda from the club kids who entertained our little one the whole time and have great spirit! Thanks for everything girls <3

The premises is extremely nice and well maintained despite its age. We enjoyed our time and spent most days by the heated pool. Plenty of activities for the kids by the pool too

The room was in poor condition, with wall lights hanging off the walls, and the interior felt outdated and neglected. Although the cleaners did come in daily and provided fresh bottles of water, the overall experience didn't feel up to standard. There's also a safe in the room, but you're required to rent a key from reception. If you don't, the hotel won't take responsibility for anything that goes missing. It left me feeling uncomfortable and uneasy during my stay. I wouldn't recommend this place -it just wasn't worth the price." If you want a lie in past 7.45am this is not possible due to the cleaners being extremely noisy. I totally understand that they have a job to do but this could also be done respectfully by not shouting down corridors. The food was extremely substandard and I’ll be glad to get home to have some home cooked food.

There is nothing luxurious or gourmet about the place, but it is competent, clean, and a fine place for a family. The cleaning staff is surprisingly friendly and good natured. There are a few annoying quirks, like a cold “adults only” hot tub no adult wanted to sit in, terrible shower pressure, and the abandoned lot next doors is a squatter’s encampment. I would give it more stars but it markets itself as a high end property. It’s not. But as a place to take your kids and feed them without worrying about cooking, it’s a very nice place.

3rd time back and it’s just the perfect all inclusive get away.

Great hotel ! There are activities for the whole family from kids to adults. The food is very tasty. You also have a chance to taste a variety of different foods. The employees do anything in order to make sure you have a great holiday. It is a great family hotel .

Friendly staff and nice facilities for a family holiday. Hotel is tired and a bit run down in places. In particular my room (may not be same in all rooms) was very tired looking with grime and mold in the shower and general poor finishes. Worst of all, one of the floor tiles was broken causing a nasty cut to my foot on last night. Outside of the room, the hotel is a nice venue for a family holiday if you are happy to spend most of your time in the hotel complex as it is a little out of the tourist center. Food was nice and lots of entertainment for families

Beautiful setting, very well kept gardens with varied and exotic pants, great landscaping and picturesque buildings set on a side of a cliff. Inside the accommodation is a little dated but well kept.

The food is terrible, there are zero options for vegan people and what could be and should be in terms of recipes is tainted by non existent recipe control. I’ve been a professional in the food and nutrition industry for over 25 years and I was appalled by the lack of consideration and complete disregard for people’s health and overall nutritional needs. The food ingredient cards are nonsensical as there is no chart that explains what each image represents and some just showcase a full array of images (cartoonish) which would mean that they simply threw anything they had left over from previous days into the mix.The staff were all nice but completely clueless in terms of what they were serving, they even argued that the arrabbiata sauce should have fish in it…..I wasn’t there to impart a cooking lesson nor train the staff, I was there as a guest with my family and we found it extremely difficult to eat every single meal.
