Wonderful spot you can walk to take the ferry to Isla Mujeres and Captain Hook dinner show. Very clean hotel nice beaches.

Beautiful property. Their beach area is so nice and they have different activities you can do while there. Location is a good area. Rooms are clean. We loved it.

All of the workers are nice. Antonio our concierge was awesome! I only put 3 stars for area around the hotel. There is nothing to do around the hotel without leaving the premises. All inclusive is useless. They only have 2 restaurants to choose from. This is definitely a laid back non party place! I would go back. The villa with kitchen and 2 separate bedrooms was the main reason I stayed there.

I gave five stars as my expectation and what we paid for, matched. We were 5 and we had 2 rooms, 2 pax each and a Murphy bed in living room that can also fit 2. We had a functional kitchen with tons of utensils, cups, mugs, pans, even dish washer. It is one closest to downtown which was great as we went back and fort a lot of times to shop and dine like local. It is not the best hotel out there in Cancun, but it is more than enough to have a wonderful vacation.

The Royal Cancun overall was great. Very clean and very well maintained. The 2 bedroom, 2 bath suite was perfect. We had the ocean view and it was picture perfect. The buffet breakfast was nice and they had plenty of choices. The only two bad things I can say is that upon arrival, the bellman who delivered our suitcases was very rude. I tipped him what I had on me and he was condescending and asked me if I knew how Pesos worked, like it wasn’t good enough for him. The other thing they could improve on would be better signage around the resort to provide directions to the spa, towel pickup/ drop, etc. I would stay here again. Just leaving an honest review.

Loved everything, except Breathless hotel to load

I have been to the Royal Cancun 3 times and it’s always great. Great service and the property is so pretty. Fun to bus over to the Royal Sands for a day in the surf too and see a good show.

The resort is beautifully maintained, and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Everything was clean, comfortable, and well taken care of. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be returning in the future!

First of all. This is not an all inclusive resort so ensure you pick the right package if you decide to go. We were disappointed when we arrived and found out we made a mistake on our reservation and didnt choose all inclusive. We had to pay for breakfast lunch and dinner for our family of 5 for an entire week which made our stay so much more expensive. I loved the service staff on the beach at the smaller outdoor restaurant and there food was made fresh on a BBQ.. you can find it near the kids pool, Lapalapas had great waiters but awful hostesses at the counter. I asked 3 times to get a baby high chair. They charged us $80 canadian to eat at the buffet and we only did that once as the food was questionable. We chose to use the city transit and uber to find local places to eat and went and bought food from a grocery store and cooked in our room. House keeping staff are awesome. Recommend visiting the other resort for a different beach experience as both are nice in different ways except for when we saw feces wash up on the shore... not entirely the resorts issue in Cancun I assume alot of human waste gets dumped into the ocean. Needless to say I dont think Ill ever return to Cancun.. it was a love hate experience.. people are either super loving and friendly or out to get you for every dollar you have and its heart breaking seeing a beautiful area being treated so terribly.
