It was clean and beautiful the staff were nice and friendly. Front desk were helpful and most of the staff. Great place to stay! Love that you can visit all the 6 hotels. The all inclusive was only for the four. Which I stayed in Tropical, so it included Colonial, Beach and Caribe. All pools and beaches were nice to visit and restaurants. The Spa/Gym I loved and enjoyed as well and the water amenities. As well as the outdoor water activities. Was a great vacation and enjoyable for families, friends and even solo.

Beaches and pools are beautiful. The buffets are good with lots of variety. Will return

Loved the service here. Rooms were clean. Room service daily and the mini fridge in the room was always restocked. Pools were large and clean. Swim up bar was nice. Staff were friendly even when treated poorly by other guests. Fun activities. Javi at the breakfast buffet was the highlight of our trip. Beach was not too amazing as we came during the peak of seaweed season. So I don’t blame them. Not sure much effort was being taken the remove any of it though.

Wonderful stay although Expedia was the one who dropped the ball both on our transportation times for the shuttle and not having a representative on sight ALL week. We had not contact person to assist us.

You can snorkel right off the beach and see many fish on the reefs. You can swim here with turtles. Beautiful beach. Beautiful giant pools. Many options for dining.

despite the fact that the hotel is not new, it has a very beautiful area, a fantastic beach. Everything is well-groomed. The staff takes care of the guests, even if you come to the buffet, the service will be the best.

Have been coming here for a decade. Always great to stay here.

It’s a lovely resort. We enjoyed every minute of our stay. We had been here once before in 2010. Had a great time.

Everything was very good, except that the beach was too dirty

Beautiful well kept resort. Family friendly. Many food options and great service. Enjoyed other activities such as mini golf and shopping.

Excellent staff, they are effective and efficient and work VERY HARD in ALL aspects! Property is kept In immaculate condition! Food is very good! Excellent array and variety of food! 😋 I enjoyed my stay tremendously!!! Would DEFINITELY recommend Barcelo!

Amazing view, staff and property, but room was not perfect, the bathroom was not smelling well

This is the only resort we stay in when in Rivera Maya. You literally don’t have to leave the resort. The buffets are great, the landscaping is amazing, the beach is clean and well maintained. Great for adults and children alike.

The best holiday super hotel

We had a fantastic time this last week! My biggest complaint is that they make it look like all the things were included such as bowling, waterslides, surf ride, room service etc. and all of these things were an extra charge. I literally chose this place based on the amenities and things that were included only to find out they weren't. We still had a fantastic time and would stay here again. The room was clean- you had to keep the sliding door shut to the outside or every single thing in the room would get soaking wet when someone took a shower which did happen in the bathroom regardless. The mini fridge was only restocked twice and the second time was just water only. And I had to call and ask the first time. The food was pretty good. The buffet was fantastic and the Mexican and Italian were by far the best two restaurants. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Shopping is way more than anyone can need but very expensive at the mall more so than other places. A very long walk from our hotel to the Mexican restaurant which made us 25 minutes late. Seaweed all over the beach and sharp rocks up to and in the ocean so my daughter got cut on the very first day and we avoided the rest of the time. Drinks were phenomenal and definitely had alcohol in them as I saw other reviews saying that they didn't feel anything. Everything felt very safe.
