It's our 4th time in Bahia Principe with kids and we always have a great time! Absolutely safe, great entertainment, good food, cleanliness everywhere was outstanding, and the service from the bell boys to the buffet and restaurant staff was remarkable. The kiddie water parks were amazing & love Akumal's beach , its like a pool! We can't wait to go back!

We stayed the week of May 24-may31 2025. This was my second time staying here. The first time was 4 years ago during Covid. We were kind of worried when we saw the news of a fire happening there a week before we were going, but they accommodated us by letting us enjoy the other resorts (tulum and akumul) on their property as well free of charge. This made our stay that much better. Everyone was so friendly and helpful across the whole property. I am a person who uses a walker and they were very accommodating; even with finding me a room on the ground floor. Beautiful resort! Also clean and well taken cared of. I loved seeing the little critters running around; especially the iguanas. (Pics added). Thank you for an unforgettable vacation!

I recently stayed at Bahia Principe Grand Coba from May 13 to 19, and unfortunately, my experience was far from what I had hoped for, especially as this was my first time visiting Mexico. During our stay, a fire incident occurred, which turned our vacation into a stressful and unsettling experience. There were no clear instructions provided during the emergency, and announcements were made only in Spanish, which many of us could not understand. This lack of communication during a critical situation was alarming and created confusion and fear among guests. While we were offered an incentive to use other resorts afterward, the process was disorganized and more of a hassle than a solution. Long lineups at the buffet were frustrating, with food often running out. To make matters worse, we had to travel between resorts just to access meals, which involved additional long waits for transportation. This was incredibly inconvenient and exhausting. On the first day, there was no Wi-Fi available, making it very difficult for us to communicate, especially since we were relying entirely on internet access to stay connected. When we sought help from staff, many seemed unsure of the situation or gave inconsistent information, which added to our frustration. Overall, the situation was poorly handled by the management. The lack.of communication, inadequate emergency plan, and the disruption of basic services significantly impacted our trip. I hope this feedback will be taken seriously.

We recently stayed at Grand Coba, and while I understand there was a recent fire, which we were never notified of, that caused disruptions across the resort, many of the issues we faced had nothing to do with that unfortunate event. We were traveling with my elderly mother, who uses a wheelchair, and the lack of support and accommodation from the staff was unacceptable. Every time we called for help transporting her to meals or activities, we had to remind them of her needs all over again. Each time, we were told, “Okay, we’ll take care of it,” just to get us off the phone — but then nothing happened. We had to keep calling multiple times just to get her to the buffet, which became exhausting and frustrating. Accessibility should be taken seriously, and unfortunately, it felt like a constant afterthought here. One of the worst experiences was at a specialty restaurant, where we waited over 40 minutes before even being acknowledged, and over two hours before we decided to leave without dessert. We were traveling with our 8-year-old autistic child, and sitting that long with no clear communication or effort from staff made the evening extremely stressful. The service was inattentive and slow — not what you’d expect from a resort that bills these restaurants as “premium experiences.” The room itself was not any better. The king bed was very uncomfortable, making it impossible to get a good night sleep. We also had to call to clear ants out of the room where son slept.

The property we booked unfortunately burned the day we arrived. It had a lot of waterslides and play areas for kids at the resort that we unfortunately didn’t have at the alternate resort, Tulum. Tulum was a nice resort though, but travelling alone with my 9 year old son we were banking on the water parks.

I didn’t realize that we were so far from the beach and had limited dining options. There was limited transportation from the airport and we didn’t know how to get into Tulum for some shopping.

Did like: Staff was friendly property was beautiful. Plenty of activities throughout the day. Some of the shows were fantastic somewhere OK. Tons of natural wildlife, beauty, à la cart. Restaurants were fabulous. I really can’t stress enough, how amazing the staff was. Didn’t like: Teenagers are not allowed on the waterpark, even in Tulum Bahia . several times our 15-year-old daughter was offered alcohol. They did not pay attention to the bracelet. Identifying her as a several times are 15 year-old daughter was offered alcohol. They did not pay attention to the bracelet. Identifying her as a minor. Into who the alcohol is out for pre-Freeport and did not have someone supervising ages of children getting piña colada’s with alcohol. Some of the children I seen doing this were very young.
