This is the cancellation policy as stated on the hotel's website. "All reservations have a standard fully refundable cancellation policy of 72 hours prior to the date of arrival by 3:00pm, unless stated otherwise on the guest confirmation. All reservations cancelled in advance of the cancellation policy deadline are fully refundable." Something came up and we needed to cancel the reservation more than 10 days prior to the deadline. The hotel refused to cancel our reservation. I worked with Expedia and I tried to reach out to the hotel, to no avail. I don't understand what was so different about my reservation, Maybe it was some sort of deal they had with Expedia that makes it no cancelable. Expedia would only say, "Sorry, the hotel refused." The hotel is refusing to discuss with me. So I could only speculate as to the reason why. The lesson here seems to be, don't use Expedia to book this hotel if you must and the price is similar; or don't trust the hotel's concellation policy.

Hello my name is Socorro … Staff was friendly , it was quiet, the beds were comfy , breakfast was yummy, it was super clean , definitely would stay there again for sure ! They were reasonably priced. Stayed two nights

Great location to all shops and restaurants. Arrived a bit earlier to see if there was early check-in but had a sign saying they’d be back in 20 mins. Called and did get ahold of someone and said we can check in at 2 and they’d call so that worked out as we walked around downtown (they said we could leave our car there). Coffee maker not working was a bummer but only a small inconvenience and we did have a bit of trouble with the room key (had to slide it a few times for it work. Room looked and felt clean and they provided a nice little breakfast baskets in the morning. All in all, a good stay and would consider them again when staying in Carmel.

The staff was friendly, skillful and very helpful.

Parked the car and enjoyed easy walks around town. Their breakfast basket is brilliant and thoughtful filled with fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal and other goodies perfect to start the day with a light breakfast. Cozy and well decorated room had all the necessities we needed.

I told person at the desk everything was great except for the shower which had the worst water pressure/volume I’ve ever experienced. Just terrible! It barely was able to get the soap off your body. Other than that it was great! The breakfast was awesome and very generous. We have stayed there before and if the next time the water is the same I probably will choose elsewhere.

This is not the place to go for several days. No dresser or place to keep possessions for two people. Very small room. Price was high.

Close to beach and in the downtown area You can walk to anything Carmel

We received a breakfast basket at our door every morning. Cereal, yogurt, milk, pastries, Apples, fruit bars.

I liked the quaint space and walakbility to major downtown parts this inn provides. I am not impressed by their breakfast and view outside the room windows. It can be improved

Property had no coffee or Breakfast as advertised. Leaking shower head all night Loud old vibrating bathroom fan Windows are old and some were cracked

Carmel is beautiful!

The staff is friendly and the room was clean. It is comfortable. But if you are looking for charm to match Carmel by the Sea, this is not the place. Also, when I arrived they had no record of my reservation. They said Hotels.com had not informed them. I had to show them a paper print out of the reservation.

Good value for Carmel

Check in was at 3. got there at 2:50 to see a sign saying they will be back in 20 minutes. waited for 40 and still nothing. Left and came back, had to wait after ringing and knocking for the staff, finally called the number for the person to come out. got a room just to have the keys not work.

The Room is streets level with window on the sidewalk, very noises and difficult to have some privacy, , there are only wood blind and not natural lighting, without to be exposed.
