It was good, check-in was a bit confusing but that might just have been me. I had a generally good stay, liked the location, room etc. My only issue was when before checkout (around 9) a member of staff knocks and I say hello and then they simply unlocked my door anyway? And it was an awkward moment. I don't really know why they tried comming in since it's before checkout and I've rented my room. But other then that yeah it was good

I’m from the US and had never stayed in a hotel that doesn’t provide towels. Having said that, it was a clean and safe place to stay. There is no one there to check you in. You call the number on the door and a nice lady gives you the door code. She then gives you another code to a lock box that holds the keys. Your (huge) breakfast magically appears in a refrigerator in a bag with your room number in the morning. I never saw a live person working there. At least I didn’t have to share a bathroom.

Overnight stay. Easy check in. Good breakfast. Family room slept 4 adults with on a roll a way bed & another on a sofa bed. Parking at rear of hotel. Walking distance to train station & city centre

The pre-arrival info stressed the limited check-in times but I arrived at 9:30 AM after a tiring overnight train and was able to check-in immediately. The room also had a shower that I wasn't expecting.

I stayed at this hotel for nine nights at the beginning of December. I found every member of the hotel staff very kind and helpful, and the hotel itself was actually perfect for what I needed. The room was comfortable and practical- a couch, a bed, a desk, and a bathroom, along with a little area near the door for shoes and coats. Breakfast every morning was fresh and everything was well maintained, the location was perfect and just a short walk from the main area downtown, not to mention just a couple of minutes from the Christmas goat. Honestly, I couldn't have asked for more. If you're looking for a low-key somewhere to stay in Gavle, give this place a chance and you won't regret it. I'd definitely stay again in the future.

Dålig frukost

Centralt läge, p-plats 👍 enkelrum22 i stort behov av renovering samt tillhörande toalett och dusch utrymme. Dubbelrum nr 6 väldigt bra.

Trevlig personal och ok frukost. Men slitet och dålig standard. Men duger för övernattning

Gammaldags badrum. Bra läge, många restauranger inom gångavstånd. Prisvärt.

Modtog ikke sms med kode til dør og værelse, og selv efter flere opkald kunne de ikke fremsende den hverken på sms eller mail. Fik den dog til sidst over telefonen. Værelset ok og rent. Men morgenmaden var uinteressant, uheligt indrettet så kun en kunne være ved buffen ad gangen, og morgenkaffen blev efterladt efter første tår.

Begränsade utrymmen för frukost, kan upplevas som trångt om fler än 10-12 personer skall äta samtidigt. Hjälpsam personal vid frukost för specialkost (gluten).

De har bytt ägare,den personliga servicen har försämrats.

Väldigt slitet hotell med mycketdålig service. Lösa eluttag och silvertejp på kaklet i badrummet. Trasiga golv. Personalen svarade knappt på frågor och ingen kunde svara på vad frukosten innehöll, min dotter är allergisk.

Bra läge, rymligt rum. Saknar bra tvål o schampo. Sprucket handfat o trasigt kakel lagat med silvertejp drar ner betyget. Trevlig frukost.

Bra hotell om man vill spara pengar. Hotellet är slitet och avrinningen i duschen inte på topp, men det är helt klart värt det då Aveny erbjuder väldigt bra priser. Frukosten är enklare men god och har ändå en hel del variation. Gillar att man har kod till dörren istället för ett plastkort eller nyckel.
