Hi. This property was an excellent find in old Quebec. However, we did experience discrimination because of my guide dog when trying to use the breakfast room on our first morning. We were asked to leave with our pet dog, even though it wasn’t a pet. We did refuse to leave, and the situation was dealt with by the hotel manager. They did offer us some compensation, but have Fayre to another part of Quebec city isn’t really fair compensation for being discriminated against. I was given service, so will not be pursuing this action any further. But this kind of discrimination takes an emotional toll.

Very helpful staff.

This hotel is conveniently located in the Old Quebec City area. We were able to walk to local attractions, cafes, restaurants, and shops. Staff were excellent and room was clean and quiet.

Great location on a side street just off the busy areas. Lots of shops and restaurants that were a short block away. Lose to all old town sites

Room should have been clean i mention to staff and the door to the suite was noisy and sticky.

parking spots are very small and difficult to get in and out of. breakfast was not very good. tv was a huge puzzle to operate. we did enjoy using the complimentary coffee machine. location was great. staff was very helpful and pleasant.

The hotel is in a nice quiet area. I felt very safe staying there. I feel the room carpets could use replacing because it looks like many pets stayed there and had accidents. Many spots around.

This hotel is located in the Old Quebec City and is very walkable to shops and restaurants. The hotel rooms are large and comfortable and clean. I have stayed here a few times and recommend it highly

Nice big rooms

We had the loft, very interesting layout with plenty of room and a fully functional kitchen. It's in the older building (attached to the new one), so no elevator, but not hard to access through some fairly old stairs. Room was nice and comfortable with lots of space, but one huge drawback for us: all the windows are sealed shut (in spite of the information received from the front desk before booking, that all rooms have opening windows). Luckily there was an access door to some external stairs in the back that we could open to let some fresh air in. The espresso machine in front of the reception was a nice bonus.

My wife stayed for two nights at Hotel Champlain with a friend visiting from England. They had a marvellous time in the city and thoroughly enjoyed their stay at the hotel. Mathieu and the rest of the team made them feel very welcome and were most helpful. The room was large and vlight and the beds were extremely comfortable. They highly recommend Hotel Champlain for a visit to the old city of Quebec - the hotel is walking distance from all the sights with the city walls. They would definitely stay there again.

Loved our stay. Nice place close to old town. Very clean and safe location with lots of things to do within walking distance.
