Extremely Overrated & Uncomfortable — Truly Disappointed To say this place is severely overpriced would be a serious understatement. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that Azulik prioritizes aesthetic over comfort or functionality. There are no lights in the room, only tiny candles, which makes doing anything after sunset nearly impossible. I stubbed my toe almost every night on a bench next to the bed because I couldn’t see — it was downright dangerous. The shower is barely functional, and their idea of an A/C unit is the weakest excuse I’ve ever seen — not nearly enough to make the room remotely comfortable in the Tulum heat. I was relaxing on the daybed outside when the branches it was hanging from snapped and hit me in the head. I brought it to the attention of the front desk staff, who said they’d speak to a manager. I never heard anything about it again — no follow-up, no solution, just silence. We also requested help with our bags at checkout because our room was extremely far from reception — requiring us to go up and down stairs, through sand, and across their narrow bamboo walkways. No one ever showed up, and we had to carry all our things ourselves. Even the guy at the front admitted, “Didn’t you ask for help?” Yes, we did. Still, no help came. To top it off, I realized at checkout that the blue medical pillow I brought for flying was missing — something I had with me when I checked in. Staff said they didn’t have it and offered no real effort to help.

Its a very unike experience I will definitely come back. Everything was just outstanding and amazing.

Highly overrated; there’s an obvious management or ownership problem. Rooms are not comfortable. Mattresses are hard and cheap, towels have holes, sheets are the same with stains. Robes have stains. Most employees are constantly glued to their phones. We had one whole day in which our AC unit went out every 40 mins or so, it was doing this in the entire building. One electric outlet in room; it wasn’t near the sink area with mirror making it almost impossible to do hair/makeup. Do not recommend and would not stay again.

Awrsome and beautiful place......but for how much you pay, they should at least have a refrigerator, coffee in room and the option to close your blinds. Not everyone wants to show off while showering butt naked. The "clothing optional" disclaimer is not because people run around like its a nudist resort, it is because there is no real privacy. The balconies are open to neighbor. The place is beautiful, it actually is! If you are a christian (and I am) the "spiritual blessing" are annoying and way too much. We paid for a normal, plain massage but they still wanted to do a ceremony on us. We respectfully declined and they looked at us like we were crazy. My recommendation is this is a 1 or 2 night stay, we stayed 3 nights. The tub/shower above us leaked into our room. The fan above bed is super loud. Privacy is bad.

Aside from the fact that Azulik is such a unique resort, the staff is what makes the place unforgettable!! Everyone we encountered are smiling and ready to assist. It’s one driving factor why I will be coming back to this resort.

I really liked Azulik

Beautiful hotel, the staff was very helpful specially the bellboy. The angel ladies (concierge) are super slow specially Pamela, she was not able to get us or keys and made a huge mess. Thanks to the bellboy who seems to be doing everything in the hotel the problem got solved. Food was outstanding although with a crazy price tag but that’s expected of Tulum. Rooms could be better clean dust and dirt everywhere after the “clean it” if you could put that all aside including the horrible smell of the water since is coming from the cenote and the smell is repulsive the hotel itself it’s beautiful. I highly recommend fixing the issue with the water and better cleaning service in the room, also no need for the concierge since they are useless and not helpful.

I booked the jungle villa and quickly upgraded to the sea villa as I learned I am not an animal jungle girl alone in Mexico... this was absolutely the most magical experience ever. the room was impeccable . the staff was so helpful. the beach was beautiful. the food was amazing in all places. the sunset experience at happy hour was surreal. the location was perfect to all beach bars, restaurants, and shopping. for a girl going alone in Mexico this was the best stay I have ever had. forever dreaming of going back and waking up in that sea villa with the birds singing in the morning as the waves crashed into the cliffs. thank you AZULIK!!

The property is beautiful and totally unique. It may be hard to get around if you have any kind of mobility issues. A lot of stairs and uneven surfaces.

Loved it - Will be coming back ! and the people where great !!
