Cheapest hotel near jr train

Even though we only stayed a day at this hotel, our impression was good. The hotel rooms are quite spacious. We ordered a triple. For a very cheap rate. And only about 200 meters to Osaka Station. It's so close that we can take Shinkansen on the earliest time to Kanazawa on time.

Classic style hotel & near JR Osaka Station. 5 min walk from JR Osaka station. From Sakura-bashi Exit take a cross walk & straight to 'the underpass' full of restaurants along the way. At the end of the underpass, we can see building blocks. Take a cross walk and take right path. After walking a few meters you can see the Monterey Hotel, a European style - building. To reach the front desk, we have to take a classic style elevator to 8th floor. The front desk staff is friendly & helpful. She allowed us to keep our luggage as it was early in the morning and still few hours from check in time. The room is small but it's oke for us. The hotel gave us the room with bed size 160, as reserved. The hotel has a good interior and has chapel in the middle of the building. We choose The Monterey because it also near Airport Limo Bus Stop to Kansai and Itami Airport. Around 10 minutes walk from the hotel. The front desk staff gave us map direction to the Bus Stop, so it helps us a lot.

Near station but not much conveniant store around, it's business area

Best location, good view, warm service, and tasty food.

Gloomy atmosphere and ancient, narrow room. Staff very helpful.
