If you're looking for a smaller all-inclusive, this ia what you're looking for. Very few people, great views, great food, friendly staff. Quiet, relaxing. It was exactly what we were looking for.

CC Papagayo was absolutely amazing! We could not have picked a better place to stay. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the food was amazing! The staff are happy and very nice. The best part for us was that the resort is smaller and was not crowded. We will definitely be back!!

This place is RUN DOWN by A TINY DIRTY BEACH covered with spiny palm thorns, so forget walking barefoot on beach or playing with the sand. Daughter got a thorn in her foot right away, hubby got a thorn that punctured his waterproof sandal! Their rate is $724 a night & it’s comparable to motel 6 with access to an oversized sandy ditch. The food on buffet was minimal, got a piece of hair in chicken. The only AC is your room & it doesn’t get cooler than 28C (82.4 F), with 90+ F in the bathroom as there’s no air vent. The door of bedroom have big gaps on bottom, allowing insects & warm air to come in. So, we were “greeted” by a trail of dead insects when entering the bedroom. Some of the buildings have missing roof pieces. The power went out completely once & had 2 glitches in the 2.5 hours we were there. They started the LOUD generators, releasing big clouds of black smoke!! We stayed for almost 3 hours, spending over half hour of arguing to get our money back. They refused to give $724 back for 1st day. We left to another resort.

Beautiful Resort, Poor Reservation Experience Stayed May 7–13 at CC Beach Front Papagayo after flight delays made us miss our original May 6 arrival. The resort itself is stunning, the food is amazing, and the on-site staff — especially Christian, Kendy, Suzi, Luna, and Danny — are warm, welcoming, and unforgettable. But our experience was soured by how poorly the central reservation office handled our delay. Despite paying for 7 nights, we were denied the ability to shift our stay and were told we’d have to pay for an extra night just to get what we already paid for. One supervisor even said we “should be punished” for arriving late due to a flight delay — incredibly unprofessional. If you go, just be aware that while the staff at the resort are top-notch, their booking/reservation management is not.

We were looking for a small, all inclusive not far from Liberia Airport...and found this to be perfect for us. Super friendly and attentive staff. Relaxing tropical atmosphere is just what we were looking for. Excursions booked right from the lobby with transportation right there...or at the beach as we had a great fishing excursion where they picked up right on the beach. Hey, we are in our 70's and from Wyoming....I am sure there are more actifve and exciting places for the younger party animals but we had all the food and drink we could handle. Great snacks available at the pool bars if you didn't want to go in for a bigger meal...or do both...your choice. This worked for us and we will not be looking for a different venue it/when we get back to Cost Rica!

We are experienced travelers, and this property gets an A++! Our family has NOTHING to complain about; absolutely wonderful experience. Great room, great property, wonderful location adjoining beach. Two fantastic huge pools. Food was amazing… gained weight on trip. Miguel at check in, Geo from tour company, the Chef, the wait and bar staff (to include the college interns), even taxi service all did an amazing job! Thanks so much! Our highest recommendation, will definitely stay here again when coming to Costa Rica - this place is a hidden gem!!

There was NOT 1 thing wrong about our stay. The food ... FANTASTIC. The staff ... AMAZING. The room ... EXCELLENT. Close to the beach. And we got to watch hockey next to the ocean. A PERFECT VACATION!

Could use a lot of upgrades

This resort was peaceful and quiet, great pools, right on a lovely beach. There was a lot of effort being made to keep the property clean and modern. We arrived early in the day and despite the hotel being at part capacity, it would have been nice to check in early after a long haul trip. However, we do respect hotels have a check in time for a reason.

This property is super quiet when it's not on the weekend or has a promotional. I can't say enough good things about the staff. Everyone is very helpful and want to make sure you enjoyed your stay! The beach is beautiful. The food was excellent! Very welcoming to everyone.

Great place

The garden view rooms are awful, especially provided the money you’re spending on them. They’re along a noisy and vulnerable spot next to a beach access road. Also the shower was the worst I’ve ever used. Rest of the property was fine, we spent majority of time in pool which was dirty. Beach access is dominated by the public which we didn’t mind but other folks may. Food was decent, not great, servers were kind but struggled with basic things. Of our entire Costa Rica stay, it was the worst of three hotels and by far the worst of the all inclusives. The only thing nice is the location respective to Liberia airport. Otherwise, move along and look elsewhere.

This place is amazing! It is beautiful, and the grounds are so well kept by the hard working, friendly, workers! The food is fantastic!! A huge thank you to the chef, Christian! He helped my husband find gluten free options, and even prepared special foods for him. He was very kind, and offered delicious meals! We loved the beech, and always found place to sit in the shade. The pool was also great, in a beautiful setting, with a nice swim up bar! We really enjoyed our stay at this resort!!

Beaches were BEYOND pristine. Bars at multiple pools.

We stayed at this resort for my sisters birthday and it was amazing. It is a small resort and you will get to know the staff and other vacationgoers really quickly. Danny Boy (staff) helped me to get a birthday cake to surprise my sister and helped us get a taxi to CoCo Beach where I had the drivers name before he even came to pick us up (also had a way to communicate with the driver via WhatsApp and he came and found us at our meeting point so we weren't searching for a random car). This is a small resort, don't go here expecting to party the night away, it's not the place for that. It IS a place for relaxing, swimming in the pools, having a couple drinks, and enjoying the buffets. Rooms were wonderful and everything was in good order. Would definitely stay again.
