The location of the hotel made things so easy while we were in Florence. The breakfast was delicious and the cookies/ coffee available throughout the day were wonderful! Staff was friendly and we loved the little dog that was sometimes around. Our room with the balcony was fabulous!!

Great central location, all within walking distance to shops, piazzas, and the train. Hotel itself was clean, staff very friendly, and a lovely view of the duomo from Terrance.

The staff is very friendly and helpful! The space was very tiny but that’s typical for Europe. The hotel was in the center of everything so it was super convenient.

“The best hotel in Florence.” That was what our driver told us as soon as we gave him the address to our hotel. He wasn’t kidding! The staff was so kind and went above and beyond any chance they could. The location was amazing!

Amazing staff that showed us around and brought our luggage up to the room for us. The view from room 40 is off the post cards and highly recommend. The bathroom was to die for and the tub was mint. Perfect for honeymooners and after a long day walking around Florence. Only thing was the keys. You only get one key that controls the power and lock. Not great if you want to go out and your other half stays for a bath.

Have stayed at Hotel Duomo several times. The location is amazing and the view of the Duomo from the balcony off the dining area is breath taking. The proximity can't be beat. It is an older hotel but the service is friendly, it's clean, the best location, and we always have a wonderful time there. Highly recommended.

Air con made a cold noise at night. Staff kindly switched it off. Superb staff who were helpful, kind and witty. Breakfast on the balcony next to the Duomo was an incredible experience. I bought a brilliant book called Bruneschelli’s Dome by Ross King. Excellent G&Ts made by Cristiano. Thank you!!!

I paid for a superior duomo view room. They have all of the rooms listed on their website with the adjacent pictures of that exact room. It was very clear when comparing pictures that we were placed in a classic room with a tiny sliver of a view of the duomo but mainly a view of other rooms in a courtyard area. When I asked the front desk about it they said we were in the correct room but I can assure you we were not. When I asked about the view I was told that this room just had a "different" view than the other rooms. The hotel was sold out from what it looked like online so my guess is they oversold their superior duomo view rooms and just stuck us in the classic in hopes we wouldn't say anything. The room was hot and we could never get it to cool down. It was right outside of the housekeeping lockers so we were woken up by cabinets being open and closed and bags of linens being opened. I'm sure it's probably a fine hotel if you actually get the room you paid for.

I booked this hotel for my father to stay at during my wedding weekend. The staff were very kind to him and helped him book taxis and make it to his destination. The central placement of the hotel makes it perfect for seeing attractions by foot and walking to destinations - getting taxis can be a little more challenging.

Located on the fourth floor of an old building facing Duomo, only accessible by a historic elevator (or by stairs if the reception sees you and lets you in). Overall, the hotel feels like a large family home. Note that Duomo square is never quiet nor empty, always full of activities (sometimes quite noisy), even late at night. We did not pay for breakfast, but had free tea, coffee and cookies always available to us in the kitchen. The most important Florence sites (Duomo, Academy, Uffizi, Bargello) are all short walking distance from the hotel.
