Thé hôtel will be beautiful once the renovation work has finished. Health and safety we an issue with power tool wires across the main corridor. Building work started at 8 am and went on all day. The lounge and the swimming pool were out of bounds. We managed you use the swimming pool towards the end of the stay, but if was difficult to get out without any steps.The fridge in the room hadn’t been emptied and they was smelly cold fish and chips inside when we arrived. The staff were very helpful in trying to refund us and try to find us another hotel but last minute hotel accommodation not easy to find at short notice. In the end we decided we had no option but to stay. We did receive free breakfasts and complimentary wine to compensate for the inconvenience.

Loved the hotel, perfect location and nice room. The hotel has some renovation work going on otherwise I would rate it very highly. Staff are really very nice. There are only two negatives - it is a little bit complicated to park in their car park but ok when you know how, and I would have preferred to have real cups and glasses in the room rather than flimsy paper ones which were too hot to hold to drink the coffee. Located in the harbour, walking distance around the town centre.

A wonderful hotel, in the perfect location for the marina and the old town. Staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly and the hotel is in excellent condition. The pool is also a great option

It was fine. The parking is a bit odd. The pool being in a courtyard reduces sun dramatically, but was welcome nonetheless. The room lacke for a few hooks.

We really enjoyed our 4 nights stay. The small pool was a big bonus but it’s all about the view across the marina, location & the excellent staff.

Ideally located down town, this hotel is great to walk around Saint malo

The hotel was small, but the facilities were excellent. Room was comfortable. Location was superb. The staff were outstanding. Could not do enough to help us.

We booked the junior suite and it was very comfortable and roomy. Was not expecting to see individual plastic toiletries which were fairly basic- no shower cap. Was expecting glasses for drinking instead of paper cups. Glasses were provided upon request. Plugs in sinks not working and reported. Shame there was no tea/ coffee provided in room as with other French hotels. Staff were excellent and really helpful in all areas of our stay. Perfect location for the old harbour.

The location is excellent, the staff are lovely people and made this a lovely place to stay. When travelling for pleasure on holidays genuinely nice people at reception make such a difference to your experience. I’d highly recommend.

The poirest hotel of our stay. It is an old hotel in need of a good renovation. The best part was our view of the Vieux Port, but it also came with the noise of people partying until the wee hours. The breakfast reminds me of school cafeteria where you ask the attendant what you want and endure a long line. Don't understand why they won't let us help ourselves at a buffet like all other hotels. Saving?!? And again the breakfast room needs a renovation. I would note recommend the Yatchman to friends.

Well placed hotel, parking difficult due to closed roads.The hotel really needs renovation. The rooms are old fashioned and tired. Good service and good breakfast.

1 star hotel SOOOOO Many things wrong wrong wrong - totally overpriced

Nice hotel Unfortunately we stayed with two dogs and paid a lot extra to get a room with badly marked carpet. Not from dog use!!!!!

We had aovely stay, great location feiendly and helpful staff good room and great to bring the dog along as well

Great stay in the centre of La Rochelle convenient for all the restaurants and attractions

Location is excellent. Relaxed athmosherw and good breakfast. The only downside for me was a disturbed sleep every night due to room position at the rear block of the hotel onto a busy laneway and over a restaurant and bar which stayed open very late.

Requested and paid for a pool view which we did get but I did assume this would include a balcony, unfortunately it didn’t.
