The mattress was comfortable enough but not when it overhangs the divan base by a huge amount such that you could fall off. The staff refused to acknowledge our complaint, dismissing it as normal to put a large double mattress over smaller twin bases. They even implied we had created the problem by moving the bases together ourselves. Terrible customer service! Generally the decor was tired and the room too small despite the Privilege category.

No air conditioning was working when i checked in the two rooms that they gave me , I had to leave the hotel right away because they did not care I has to Book another place 20 miles away I am asking for a full refund for this hotel, the receptionist was the worst , she did not care at all Please contact me at daubresse.olivier@aol.com

Really good hotel comfortable double bed shower/bathtub plus your own balcony, didn’t use the swimming pool or restaurant so can’t comment. Good price at £60 for early September still warm 22-28 degrees

Clean and comfortable hotel. Room was an adequate size with a pleasant balcony which had a pretty view over the water. The pool was a good size and clean although slightly on the chilly side. Had limited dealings with staff but everyone was friendly and helpful. The hotel was quiet and we weren't bothered by noise from the the casino. 5 minute walk to the marina and 15 minutes to the old town. Gruissan old town is lovely and the beach wad clean and not too busy.

Stayed in November 2016. The whole hotel was undergoing a revamp. We had a new style room which was very comfy and looked good! The outside was being painted white rather than faded pink. The garden areas are kept smart. Used the casino once which was nice and modern. Had a cocktail in the bar but wasn't very impressed with what we got for €9 each. Probably better in the summer. Didn't bother with the restaurant as it looked expensive but the car park was always full. The location is perfect. Loads of walks and not far from the town. We took our dog and noticed a few other people did too. Doesn't appear to be a weight limit like most other pet friendly hotels.

Hotel is on the edge of town, at the back of a huge carpark for the casino. It looks rather like an american motel. All the bedroom doors are on the outside of the building. Tiny rooms. Our view was of the next building. Very noisy one night with music from a nearby venue. Pool was freezing (mid august!). Not particularly attractive area around it. On the Saturday morning there was a zumba class by the pool and the music was louder earbleeding loud, ruining the breakfast area peace (and you couldn't see the pool from there) Staff were pleasant. Felt sorry for them working here! We only used the hotel as a base, so didn't have to spend any time there.

Air con on a hot day was next to useless, looks a bit run down from outside and small rooms for the price, next to a lake so lots of mosquitos the girl on the reception was brilliant though

Was a little surprised on arrival, as it was more like a motel. No bar or restaurant, but plenty of bars, restaurants very close by at the marina. In fact it was the perfect location, with lots of free parking. Breakfast croissants were delicious. Would definitely stay there again. Plus had the best night's sleep, the bed was soooo comfortable.

Okay if you're just passing through. Privilege room was tiny, photos very deceptive. Very basic overall, not a hotel for vacation.

Was a lovely room, very clean, had a comfy bed, great bathroom, and we had a nice little deck to sit on.

Very pleasant location for a rest and some diverse sightseeing. Within minutes of beautiful beaches, interesting villages, historic sites, fine seafood eateries, and casino gaming. Facilities were very clean and the staff was very helpful.

Gruissan was great.The Phoebus is a bit tacky next to the Casino with no view from the room but it was clean and comfortable with parking and the location was handy for the town and it was an easy walk almost everywhere.The swimming pool was good for a dip at the end of the day
