A hotel To be recommended

The Avli Lounge apartments are beautiful! We stayed in the Candy Suite for about four days. As mentioned in several reviews, location is excellent, and we were able to walk everywhere. Both Stelios' and Nickos were always available and helpful for everything. Do note that there is no elevator as the hotel is in Old Town and they preserve the structures. That also means you have cobblestone streets which still require effort for even the smoothest luggage. The suite we were in was on the 3rd floor and I overpacked as usual. The guys were wonderful in assisting us up with all our stuff. Would love to revisit Crete and stay at the Avli again!

We were only here for a night as we went further into Crete. The towels in a great area, old town near lots of restaurants. Our room was upgraded and was very large. The only complaint was really the bathroom set up. Breakfast was in a

Elegant hotel.. excellent service at check in an out. Minor issue in getting a close by taxi drop off and night music from street might bother some.

Stayed in the junior suite with jacuzzi bath. Beautiful room. All staff in hotel and restaurant where we were served a great breakfast are friendly and helpful. Location is perfect, near the fountain and harbour. Keep looking around as everywhere throughout the building is a feast for the eyes. Highly recommend

We loved Avli Lounge! The hosts were so helpful and kind and the breakfast was extraordinary. We ate by ourselves in a sun-filled courtyard with blooming orange trees and flowers and the food was delicious and very generous. The room was extremely comfortable. We would definitely come back!

This beautiful hotel is right in the center of Rethymno Old Town. The staff didn’t miss a thing. The breakfast is amazing

We were upgraded upon arrival. The room was so nice, we immediately took pictures and sent them to our friends and family. The breakfast was delicious, truly one of the best I’ve ever had.

Nico, the host was absolutely amazing dinner at the restaurant was one of the best that we had while in Crete would definitely stay at this location again great location, easy walking distance to everything

My husband and I loved this hotel’s ambiance in its decor, location, restaurant and especially its gorgeous courtyard restaurant. They offered a complimentary breakfast that was absolutely amazingly delicious, unique and plentiful. I would definitely go back just for their breakfast! Unfortunately we were there for only one night but due to the hotel’s location and their willingness to hold our luggage for a few hours, we were able to visit some of the main sights & local shops of Rhethymno. The hotel was difficult to find especially if you arrive at night as it is in the midst of many busy restaurants & shops. Look for street level Avli & Raki Ba Raki signs on the buildings. The Avli hotel reception entrance is next to the Raki Ba Raki restaurant. The room we stayed in was above and close to the noisy restaurants so I would recommend you request a quieter room if necessary. Other than that I would highly recommend this hotel.

Beautiful accommodation and amazing breakfast. We are planning another visit next year as we loved this place and location.

Unique and magical place. The set up in old town is beautiful. The apartments are very comfortable and charmingly decorated. Great breakfast. Diner at Avli restaurant was quite an experience. Service is top notch everywhere in the hotel. Highly recommended!

Beautiful room in great location. So many thoughtful details to make our stay feel more special, from welcome drink in their lovely garden restaurant to gourmet breakfast to parting gift of honey and raki. Probably one of the nicest hotel experiences I have had.

Besides the small rooftop pool being under renovation, it didn't take away from a most enjoyable stay,magnificent room and dining options. A must experience.

Hotel located in car free zone but hotel did not provide any guidance of where to park. Good service and lovely included breakfast in the courtyard. Hotel set up was confusing as there are three separate buildings. Not advised that our room would be a three story walk up. Room had one air conditioning unit but notwithstanding the extreme heat the hotel did not turn on the ac. For the cost it was not acceptable that it took 12 hours for the room finally to cool off.
