This was by far THE WORST Hampton Inn we have ever stayed in. The floor in the bathroom of our room was so sticky our shoes stuck to the floor. My husband tried to clean it with a towel and the towel was black. The property manager came up and mopped the floor. The breakfast was disgusting and cold. No butter or cream cheese out for the toast and bagels. We left without breakfast because it was so bad. The young lady who was supposed to be taking care of things seemed to be hiding in the kitchen. Guests had to knock on the door to get her to come out and give them supplies.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. However, the hotel is in very desperate need of renovations. The pool is closed for repairs and adjacent hallway smells of mold and mildew. The baseboards are missing from the hallways, the carpets turned my child's socks gray, the shower was cracked and mildewing. All of the furniture is worn out. There was even a nickel on the floor of our room, showing the lack of vacuuming. The biggest offense was coming back to find the door to my room propped open after the cleaning staff was in there. The staff was not in the hallway near the room, no cart or anything to indicate that my possessions were still safe. It was very unsettling and we're lucky that nothing was missing.

Got to the room the room they gave us was wide open . Mold and hair and trash everywhere. We asked for another room and we get it and it was just as bad . I couldn't believe how much mold was on the blankets . Was there a whole 15 minutes and they would not refund us our money. Horrible nasty run business

The front desk worker was very helpful and friendly. He greeted us and made small talk. We asked if there were vending facilities on site. He pointed towards a small area with a few bottles of Coke, Sprite and a few frozen hot pockets. We asked for bottled water but we were told they didn’t have any because the truck didn’t come in. Our room did not have any shampoo or conditioner in the wall dispensers in the shower. The bathroom vent was dirty and covered with black dust. The comforters on the beds were stained. We only had one roll of toilet paper in the bathroom. The free breakfast was subpar. There were cereals out for guests but we were told yet again they didn’t have any milk because the truck didn’t come in. The chairs in the dining area were dirty, covered with food and handprints. The pool was closed due to maintenance. I booked two rooms at this hotel for this particular stay and both rooms had similar issues. I saw this hotel was rated “very good” online. However, it truly left a lot to be desired and I left there disappointed.

The carpet was full of water and squished when you walked across the floor. The same hotel at Leeds was wonderful. Don't stay at Irondale go on to Leeds just a few miles down the road.

No advanced notice of renovations. Specifically selected Hampton inn for comfort and breakfast. First day breakfast was only in the dusty foyer, had to wait, no place to eat, just a real let down. Coupled with no conditioner in the shower and slamming doors all night, won't return.

The hotel is under construction. There was stuff everywhere. No drink or snack machine. We had just got in from a big track meet and drinks and snacks was a must! We got to the room and on the way up it drunk so bad. The elevator felt like they would break any minute. There was dirt all in the floors. We get to our room and the floors are dirty, bugs in the floor, carpet is coming up, mold by the fridge, nasty toliet, nasty air filter in air conditioner, stains on the sheets!! It was bad.

The condition of the hotel was great. The staff was friendly. Unfortunately, we received the wrong room because they booked all the king suites by the time we checked in. We asked to be compensated for the upcharge of booking a suite while only receiving a standard 2 queen room.

Staff helpful, friendly Utilities went out during storm, partial electricity came back on next morning. AC/Heat, elevators, phones, hot water did not. Some guests had nothing come back on. No emergency power in stairwells.
