When we checked in the hotel wasn’t in a habitable state. Electricity was switched off from 11pm to 5am in the morning. No alternatives lighting or heating. We had to use our phones. We were told it would be for an hour Staff wasn’t very courteous and they insisted that the door was working properly though it would not lock Uber isn’t allowed close by due to other hailing service providers who attack Uber drivers Staff did not appear interested in assisting us and made us feel like were being unreasonable We received a single key for the room meant to accommodate 4 people

The hotel in a bit of a state with renovations. There were even chunks out of the walls in the passages going to our room. The beds were comfortable but there was no bin in the room and the bathroom needed a complete renovation. There was a strong smell of paint which was not good and outside our window was a whole construction crew so we could not even open the curtains. The decor was unfinished and incomplete - ok just to sleep but did not feel comfortable overall. I feel that this should have been communicated to a guest before making a booking or the stay should have been discounted in some way to compensate for all the inconveniences, The parking was shocking and luckily I had a small hired car or I would not have been able to squeeze in and out like I did. We only stayed one night but if I had booked longer I would have cancelled and found alternative accommodation

Well the food choices was very small. Being a vegan their wasn't many choices. But a nice manager there did try to help but it just didn't work out.

The hotel is clean, people friendly, food very nice but services are very slow. The bed was to bad and very uncomfortable, too hard whether is of poor quality or too old and needs a replacement. The electronic card unlock for doors was a mess as one keep on taking it for activation. The whole place has one beer/ Wine openner. In a nutshell the mansgement is either slugish, poor or just tired

Definitely not the greatest surroundings but the hotel itself is in a very good state and excellent service. Good for business travelers or if you, like us, need to be close to Pretoria station.

We arrived at the hotel just after midnight. The area that this hotel is situated in is "much to be desired". We felt very unsafe. It was badly lit and the parking was full. We stopped at the entrance of the parking. Looking at the outside of the building, it didnt look anything like the pictures on the Hotels.com site. Judging from the outside of the building the inside must be the same. It says hotel but its a residence. The windows were rusting. We unfortunately, did not check in. Sadly, it was not up to our standard and the area made us feel very unsafe. What a waste of our money and a redeemed night.

My stay at Manhattan Hotel was quite enjoyable. I arrived at about 11h45 and although they struggled to get my booking as it did not appear on their computer yet; I was eventually given an early checked in. Their free shuttle servic to malls was a breath of fresh air. Overall, the service was professional and up to standard.

It was our anniversary so we went for a full body massage just before booking in. I paid for the hotel saty through trivago, when we got to the reception she could not even pick up my payment. The evening we went out to smoke and my husband slipped and hurt his back (and we just had a massage) the floor was wet due to the sprinklers that was on. There was no sign of warning that the floors are wet. We told reception and all they could say was sorry. Don't you think we deserve something back??????Your beds made it worse we were in such pain the morning as your beds are very uncomfortable.
