Good breakfast

Nice hotel, great staff. Being an old hospital, the rooms are a bit of a strange configuration (at least ours was). The hotel is located in the restricted vehicle / pedestrian area of town so transporting luggage is a bit more of a chore. Nice stay overall, and good breakfast.

We fell in love with this place especially when it was built in the 1700's and was very easy to walk to city centre from the hotel.

The building is relatively old (about one century) in the very center of Deventer, an old Dutch city (founded as a city about 1250 years ago). You are literally in the old center, but only a 6 minute walk from the train and bus stations. The original style of the building has been well maintained, sometimes at the expense of practicality. Our room for example was on the top floor and could only be reached by a steep staircase after an elevator ride to the floor underneath us. Plus points: location and very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast. Minus points: outdated and stained carpets , no water heater, coffee/tea maker or refrigerator in the room (but a nice bar or outside terrace where they can make you a drink with a snack).

Leuke ooverloop en trappen en glas in lood. Ontbijtzaal was ook gezellig, maar de kamee was klein, met 1 kleine kast in midden. De badkamer was kil en er waren te weinig plekken om je spulletjes daar neer te zetten.

Mijn verblijf was 1 nacht. Zeer hartelijke ontvangst en nette kamer. De vloerbedekking zou een reinigi gsbeurt kunnen gebruiken. Uitstekend ontbijt en heel goede lunch fa oliteit voor onderweg. De moeite wssrd voor een herhalingsbezoek.

Very close to town centre, shopping, restaurants and bars

According to the description of the room, I was supposed to have a double bed but I ended up with a small single bed. The bed sheet was not clean with a big spot on it. Furthermore, the room was very cold when I arrived. In general, the room I had did not represent at all a 3-star hotel and was completely different than the photos I saw on hotels app. Compared to the price I paid for the room, it’s so far the worst room I booked on hotels application.

Location is excellent and close to town main square with all shops and restaurants

Great place to stay in city centre, would stay there again if I go to Deventer. Clean and spacious room and breakfast buffet was included. Very friendly front end staff.

Room needed attention, walls were badly marked in places. No facility for tea/coffee in room, had to ask for hair dryer and iron. Great location, but room is very basic. Staff very friendly but more of them needed during breakfast and to staff the cafe.

We loved the building, a very unique place to stay, a beautiful old building with timber work and lead lights in the main areas. We had a room with a balcony overlooking the courtyard. The rooms are quite small.

If you are looking for a fancy hotel, this is not it. Still, I have been a few times in the hotel now. The entrance hall of the building is cool. The rooms are very clean but simple and good if you need the room to sleep and not to work. The staff is very friendly, the breakfast is good. I will be back.

Old historical building right in the hearth of Deventer. I had no problems parking the car close to the hotel and the hotel is within walking distance of all restaurant in the historical hearth of the city.

Lovely Hotel, the staff were very helpful and polite. The room was clean and comfortable. Perfect for my trip.
