great hotel, friendly staff

Central location and just a short walk from the train station. The breakfast spread was fantastic and the staff super helpful and friendly. The hallway carpets need changing desperately.

Limited low quality dining in hotel vicinity off-set by excellent breakfast buffet. Norway dining is ridiculously expensive and the quality is mediocre. This is not a as a doc Grensn problem.

The staff were very friendly and accomodated an early check in, which was really appreciated, the room was spacious and clean (room 618)& the hotel offered a wonderful breakfast. Quite centrally located only 2 or 3 stops from central station & the tram stops right outside so easy to around however street view rooms do experience street noise but nothing which had any signifant effect on my stay.

Great location. Good breakfast. The hotel is lacking a lobby social space. Rooms are compact and efficient with under bed storage. Only one chair. Considerable street noise so not suitable for a light sleeper. Carpets in the hallway and the room are absolutely disgusting with stains and the appearance of being filthy. We were able to move to a room with parquet flooring and it was clean. Front desk staff were super helpful and accommodating.

The hotel was disappointing. We have stayed at other Scandic properties and this was not the same. The carpet in the hallways and room was very dirty. The doors to the hotel room were hard to open. No floor towel in the bathroom made it slippery. Breakfast was ok but the room was overflowing. I would not stay here again and don't think it should be 4 stars.

No complaints about t h e hotel, but work overnight on the road/tram tracks meant our sleep was very limited.

Carpet looked as if it had been through many semesters of frat parties, grungy, mystery stains, really disgusting, the room was a hot box, halls seemed to have AC but room was an oven with no air flow

Very good and lovely breakfast

Room is a bit more basic than I usually get, (e.g. no iron and board as no wardrobe - but was available from reception to loan) but nonetheless comfortable. Was concerned that it was across from the tramline but noise was barely noticeable. Shower was very good. Breakfast was excellent with a lot of ingredients that would never have been in a buffet in a British hotel such as avocado. Location was excellent, right in the heart of the city but away from most of the noise, yet a relatively short walk (even with luggage) to the nearest train station that could get you to the airport in less than three stops.

The hotel is in perfect location, very close to the market and main tourist attractions. Very great and possible early check in.

Great location and good price.

We liked our room, comfy bed, great bathroom, and the staff were amazing from the first welcome when we walked in the door, to helping us with any inquiries. The complementary breakfast is out of this world, and because we had to leave very early on our last morning, they offered us a boxed breakfast to take away. It was a bag of lovely things that pretty much lasted us all day! Thanks Scandi Grendel!!

I didn’t saw pancakes/waffles. The rest was perfect. Very walkable and centric for a great price.

Chosen for its proximity to the club I was going to. Friendly staff, warm room, comfortable bed, clean bathroom. Breakfast excellent. Only downside the state of the clean but needing renewing carpets.
