Breakfast was worth skipping : coffee served cold as were scrabbled eggs. By 30 minutes after breakfast hour began, virtually no food left to be eaten.

Que du positif, service au top et petit déjeuner délicieux. L’endroit est magnifique et calme. Petit moins sur la douche, les joins sont anciens et les portes coulissantes auraient bien besoin d’être changées.

We have never been in a hotel quite like this - an old hunting lodge made by a prince in 1910. It is (way) off the beaten path - access is via a two- mile dirt road. Totally quiet and peaceful - personal attention. There were only two other guests while we were there.

The service was excellent, the food was excellent and abundant and the stay was the highlight of the trip to Sicily. An oasis in the country! Highly recommended

My stay was both peaceful and exhilarating. The small, welcoming staff and I came to know each other like family. This historic lodge is steeped in Sicilian history of Kings and Princes, forest hunting and some intrigue. There are many original public rooms and interesting books about Sicily in them. Bird watching is a must, as listening to bird calls every morning. Is it up a dirt driveway? Yes, but not far from a town and connecting roads. This was a solo trip: adventurous and renewing.
