I honestly don't have enough space here to fully explain how much we LOVED our experience here at Aldebaran. From the moment we first stepped in the door we felt as if we were staying in the luxurious home of a relative. Our hostess Carolina was sweet, kind and extremely helpful even going so far as to lend my friend and I her bus pass to get us into town when we first arrived rather than spend extra money to call a taxi. Every meal that we ate here was delicious and the chef Ana was fantastic. Another hostess who we met later on, Denise, was equally fabulous and extremely helpful. We spent a night lounging in the comfortable "living room" sipping on after dinner drinks and chatting with Denise about her suggestions for things to do and places to eat in Bariloche. Honestly I could go on and on and on....
The only downside (if you even want to call it that) is that it is outside of the city and very much "off the beaten path". Our cab driver from the airport upon arrival was literally freaking out that there was no way a hotel could be this "remote" but of course it was worth it and honestly it was nice to be away from the loud, busy city center. Carolina and Denise both were able to call a taxi or a Remis for us with no problem when we wanted to get into town and when we felt like walking we "hiked" the 2 miles But overall we did not want to leave and are counting down the days until we can return!!! Don't pass up this opportunity in Patagonia! A true hidden gem!!
