Our stay at La Vista Daisetsuzan was a highlight of our trip to Japan. We spent 3 nights here and throughout the whole trip, the staff were friendly and kind, the food - especially the French dinner and the breakfast - was DELICIOUS, and we loved the overall feel of the hotel. Would highly recommend staying here!

The service of the hotel is very good. The hotel provides free drinks and supper. The private onsen is free too.

This is the most hostile hotel I have stayed over the 40 years of my travel experience I stay in hotel over 200 days a year and I rarely gave bad reviews for hotel but I must give them 1 star for my experience I asked the hotel to help me book train tickets from Asahikawa to Furano as well as the taxi from hotel to the Asahikawa train station, the front desk on duty around 2 pm on 7/21/24 told me NO, just book yourself I did not want to confront him and didn’t even want to ask why, I just walked away The horrific experience actually started at the time of our check in, we were late due to transportation issue so we missed the half board dinner time, I am ok with that since we were late We asked is there anything to eat (around 8:30 pm) the answer is no, we didn’t receive our welcome drink , neither the cake, we asked if there is water for us at the time of check in, the answer is no This is the hotel I will not stay even I get paid, this is that BAD

We cannot recommend La Vista Daisetsuzan enough. We skied Asahi-dake two days and staying here made skiing simple. The front desk was incredibly helpful and kind. The food was delicious, and the onsen was the perfect way to end each day. The hotel is older but updated in all the necessary ways. It has an ageless charm. The room was super comfortable. We absolutely loved every part of our stay. Quick tip: make sure to make your dinner and breakfast reservations before arrival. They send an email a couple of weeks before you arrive. As an English speaker, we missed it as it was in Japanese.

Nice property, rooms were a little dated still clean and nice, rooms were good sized. Public and private hot springs baths were awesome. One thing to be aware of is to be sure to reserve dinner because there is literally no where else on the mountain to eat, the hotels restaurants there only serve meals to their own guests, and if you can’t wait until dinner time to get a meal.

The place is very scenic. The serve rendered was excellent. The only thing I feel can be improved is their food standard. It’s not tasteless but it can be better. The onsen/spa is amazing

Great place. Relaxing hot spring. Wonderful rooms. Only personal issue was there was one staff who was being a bit strange with me (I am solo male traveler)... Otherwise would recommend 100%!

The property is a bit old, and a little smelly. The body lotion, which I believe is one of the common amenities provided by 4 star hotels, was not provided. The onsen was excellent, and we enjoyed the breakfast buffet a lot.

Great dinner, excellent breakfast, nice room though a bit dated. Friendly helpful service and good location. Lovely little onsen with private and public options. I would stay here again if I came back.

It looks like a winter wonderland, but we went in the summer. It was a bit desolate, with nothing around. The outside looked rundown, but the inside was beautiful maintained, cleaned and comfortable. The staff was nice, nothing to brag about. We were especially surprised that there was nothing to eat around, and the hotel charged $20 for breakfast, and $80 for dinner. And the staff was somewhat unhelpful in finding alternatives. Makes sense from a business perspective, but not so much from a customer service perspective. The location being so close to the Asahidake ropeway station (within 10 minutes walk) was the best part!
