Have stayed in the hotel several times before

I have been staying at the Hotel Sonderborg Strand for many years, it is my preferred hotel to stay at when i am over in Sonderborg on business. its a very relaxing place to stay with views over the Ocean, Staff are very friendly and professional.

I had the pleasure of staying two weeks at the Hotel Strand. The staff was wonderful, the location was very convenient, and the breakfast was so good. I will always here when visiting Sonderberg.

It was quiet and clean , few staff . Breakfast and view was lovely

Nice place, free parking, easy walk to good restaurants and bars

Checked in swiftly . Then asked what time last orders for the kitchen were . I was told in a sterling manner that the restaurant was FULL. As was a resident surely they could accommodate a single traveler . NO . I asked to speak with the manager and was told there wasn’t one. Terrible customer service was experienced. Therefore I was made to walk into town and find an alternative place for dinner . After my walk and dinner I came back to the bar for a night cap. There is no full time bar person . It is run by the staff who wait tables . Therefore when you do require a drink you have to go and find someone to serve you . The rooms are old and need upgrading . Breakfast was okay but nothing to write home about .

Friendly and helpful staff, nice room, great location, and absolutely superb food in the restaurant. Strangely, breakfast was just OK, but evening meals are outstanding.

The breakfast is delightful.

Came down by car from Oslo/Norway, for a next day appointment in Flensburg, had an enjoyable evening and nights stay. Close to the ocean with options for long walks and the city-center with restaurants and pubs. Breakfast excellent. Enjoyed a lot :)

Like the location . Walkable about 15 mins to cafes and restaurant within the neighbourhood and the seaside ..hotel is huge property and my room was ( upgrade to suite room )was impeccable 👍👍 Cleanliness and wifi was very good too. We will come back next year for summer holiday 💥 Highly recommend this hotel to you guys …..🇩🇰🤗👍👍

Dårlig betjening ved indtjekning, hvor den unge mand næsten var uhøflig over for mig. Morgenmaden var bestemt ikke særlig god, meget intetsigende. Værelserne er gamle og trænger til en Update. Specielt sengen var helt slidt.

Nice stay at a nice hotel in a nice location. Friendly Staff and good atmosphere

This hotel could have had two stars more if was for the appalling greeting received on our arrival. We arrive on Saturday afternoon 11/12.2021. at around 1pm. The receptionist came reluctantly out of a back room and her first words was, you can’t come her before 3pm. I then had to beg her to check or reservation which she only reluctantly did. This rather rude, reluctant, and frankly appalling greeting brought the entire experience down, however the hotel is: • Situated beautiful and close to the castle and beach. • Spacious and clean rooms. • Close to the town centre

Great hotel

Overall a nice hotel well placed and friendly serviceminded personell. However the room pllaced over the backside of the kitchen made a lot of noice till midnight, and with a lot of old people at breakfast, there was not anough service, lack of food and very stressed personell.

Beautiful views of the water, such a great location to easily get to anywhere we wanted.
