I had to call reception at 9.20 as suddenly a smell of a drug was coming into my room. The receptionist said she would come and investigate as I believed it to be coming from the room next door. Big family room, staff super helpfull and nice. Quiet, safe parking. However, no air conditioning in the room. And oh boy was it cooking in the room. Even if they provide a spare fan. We jist couldnt go in the bathroom during the day it was litterally a sauna. Would go back in cold months but not in summer. We would pay extra for air con and fridge if available

Its lovely here its missing 1 thing a swimming pool but will be back again lovely staff and environment very ideal for family

This may be an isolated case, but over the past three days I had to visit reception twice to have my key reprogrammed, as it stopped working. Also, on Saturday night, the music played for far too long and made it difficult for me to get to sleep and rest properly before my competition.

The hotel is clean, tidy and safe.

The hotel was a little tired and need of updating. Found it a bit naughty to have to pay to park at this hotel. Otherwise it was ok.

The staff were very welcoming and helpful, especially the lady on the check-in desk on Saturday afternoon. The room lights were either all on or all off, so we were not able to have a subdued lighting.

Staff here are always very friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Ample on-site parking. Good Wi-Fi. Restaurant and bar on site is nice with reasonable prices. Lakeside Shopping Centre is only a short drive/bus ride away. Chafford Hundred Train Station is also close by with frequent trains to London and Southend.

We were greeted with a lovely warm welcome by a lovely male receptionist, he was very helpful and reassuring too when a incident occurred, which was not the hotel's fault. The hotel itself was very clean and so was our hotel room. Our hotel room had a bath too which was a lovely suprise, the beds were warm and comfy. I honestly would stay there again and recommend to friends too. The only thing the hotel doesn't have a lift so it made it awkward going upstairs and downstairs with suitcases and a pram however the male receptionist did carry our luggage upstairs for us.

The staff lovely,, I felt really welcome, they genuinely care about their customers, it was nice to chat to them,, they answered any qs& queries, the room was stunning, I was put in the nicest room, breakfast come with the stay, it's a wedding venue, it's nice to see the guest get ready for their weddings, there's a town 30mins down the rd, with a nice Romanian cafe, The reason why I didn't score it 10/10 was just because from the motorway, the fumes got in to the room.. we were put right next door to someone, who happened to snore, it is on the M11 where it's hard to get to.. unfortunately I wouldn't trust Uber& the restraunts not open until the evening

Like many Best Western Hotels the place is old and not brought up to modern standards. Shower was OK at best, room very sparse and desk too small to use. TV was small but just about adequate and still baffles me that hotel rooms do not have USB ports inext to the bed or at least in wall sockets as standard in 2025. Staff were nice and hotel was clean but these big old buildings are just that. Big, old and too expensive to bring up to modern standards. This also made the flooring very noisy as people walked about at night

Convenient location, clean, unfortunately under staff for front desk and restaurant . The staff were very bice, accomodating and performing multiple roles.

Sorry for the delayed Review. Not our first family stay here. Always happy with the Welcome from Check-in until we leave. Smooth Check-in process. Room A1 Condition and little man is happy. Special mention for Richard who is helpful and smiling each time. Also thansk to Teresa and Tricia. It's a relaxing stay each time and hope to see you soon. Bar and Restaurant options are good. Lakeside Shopping Centre not far away either.

Check in was easy. The staff member was very friendly and helpful. The room was small but cosy and good enough and quite clean except for the TV remote, that was grim... Really needs a clean. The shower went cold after a few minutes
