Terrific hotel, not far off the Camino, close to restaurants and shopping. Good breakfast buffet. Terrific staff.

Our second time staying here and won’t be our last! Great conveniently located property, very clean and modern rooms. Staff are friendly and helpful and sorted a minor issue immediately.

Great place, short walk to most things including the beach, very clean modern hotel. The only minor niggle are the pillows, we found them very lumpy and uncomfortable but this is very subjective. Overall still 5/5 for us as it was a great place to stay for our visit.

The Varzinn is a well-kept secret to the area. Locally owned and operated, the family seek to proliferate JOY in serving others. From our arrival to the property to their kindness when we needed a significantly delayed checkout- this property exceeded expectations! Domingos was working reception when we checked in and he is kind, friendly, multi-lingual and knows all the in-and-outs of local establishments. He is attentive to every question and made recommendations which we tried for a lunch at Marinheiro and Regata! Both were delicious and full of the same hospitality and customer-based service as we received at Varzinn. Breakfast buffet is more than sufficient and though ‘continental’ has a full variety for hot plate and cold plate food, bread, drinks, juices, lactose free, vegan, and many more options. A true gem, we hope to return as soon as possible and can’t wait to share more time on this establishment. The rooms are clean, balconies face a garden, and just delightful!

Fantastic hotel in a very quiet location. Staff are friendly and helpful. Room was spacious and comfortable. Absolutely spotless throughout. Breakfast lovely with plenty of choice. Highly recommended.

A very good stay. The room was quite and comfortable, the bed excellent and the bathroom nice. The staff was friendly and the breakfast tasty. The location is in an area which is a bit boring but very close to main roads. I would stay there again.

Portugal is just awakening after Covid 19. Clean hotel, friendly staff, very good considering the devastating effects of lockdown.

Close to Porto but not tied to the city. Inexpensive and good value for money.

Efficiency of staff . Ease of access and parking. Location close to shops and restaurants. Good base to visit both Porto and N Portugal. Could do with comfortable seting in bedroom. Garden was smaller than photos suggest.

Staff brilliant and friendly, breakfast was good. Quite a walk to the nearest metro but close to the beach and 2 minute walk to Lidl

Hardly anyone speak English but nice people. Breakfast is very very basic nothing hot just very limited choices

Very clean with good breakfast. A little bit far out from Porto but the metro system is efficient so only about 45 minutes travel.
