Friendly staff, nice restaurant and good breakfast. Worked well for us as a base for cycling around Cheshire. Hotel has prime location on the lovely Tarporley High Street. Very old property, well maintained. Only criticism is TV reception was poor with digital picture constantly breaking up.

I often stay here whilst working at Oulton Park. I have never had a problem with on site parking and always receive a warm welcome. Rooms are spacious and quiet with great beds. The Swan also serves great food.

We stayed in room 19 in the old coach house to the rear of the hotel, room was comfortable & the hodpitality trau ead wrll stocked. Breakfast was superb.

We had a wonderful stay. Excellent, helpful, and attentive staff. Tarporley is a fantastic village with great pubs and lovely walks close by. Brilliant breakfast too! Thanks.

Always a good consistent standard

Nice room and bar, breakfast was ok.

Lovely room, comfortable clean, wish they'd be more generous with the complimentary snacks and tea bags, one of each for a couple for two nights not quite what was expected. Toiletries were not replenished at all.

Lovely place car parking food!

Hotel is nice old fashioned coaching inn type. I was exhausted from travel and found No parking on site at arrival - all places taken so had to park in town car park and had to move bag and equipment from here about 100 yards. Room right at front, incredibly noisy from traffic and single glazed. Room small for a premium rate. Bathroom abysmal. Pump/macerator in use whenever running water is on. Horrendous sound and absolutely dreadful drain/sewage smell permeates the room every time it activates. Not sure how they can actually sell this room. Terrible sleep and didn't stay for breakfast. People in breakfast room being charged for coffee with breakfast? (never encountered this in25 years of hotel stays) Guy (manager?) doing this and not checking out guests. Key taken by cleaner. Nice staff on check in but a 9.0 rating here on Hotels .com? it wasn't even close.

Really friendly helpful staff. Breakfast is excellent. The Swan Hotel is lovely and we have just booked to return.

Noisy room, and whenever you use water you get a very bad smell coming up through the plug holes. Probably due to macerater. Lovely pub shame about the room. Bedroom was well stocked and nice but bathroom hasn’t been changed and paint splashes on the wooden floor. Very disappointing bathroom and smell.

I stay here when working at Oulton Park. It is convenient, with on site parking and excellent food and service.

A great place to stay and lovely rooms

lovely hotel. stayed in a family room for 5. Staff were very attentive when our kettle and coffee machine did not work. One thing i would recommend is a deep clean of the room though.

We had the most exceptional service from the manager and his staff. They were very accommodating in providing us space to get dressed for a wedding in advance of our check in time. Very friendly all round and great breakfasts. Would not hesitate in visiting The Swan again.
