The furniture is outdated, the rooms have smoke smell, the shower is rusted on some of the rooms. The breakfast is pretty bad - not too much diversity, coffee is average. The hotel has a great location and good parking, if they would renovate it would be a very good hotel. The receptionist was ok, but he was not aware if there are any water boiling facilities in the room or not.

The best thing about this hotel is its amazing location, in the middle of the park, very close to the clubs and the restaurants by the river. The staff was really nice, helpful and polite. Breakfast was nice and good value for money. I recommend it! The rooms are very spacious (we ordered one with a balcony and it was worth it as the weather was lovely and it was great spending the evening on the balcony). Totally recommend this hotel!

Great location, fair price.

This is possibly the best hotel I have stayed in while in Romania. The staff was very friendly. The property was clean. The room was clean, warm, comfortable. The water was hot and the shower DIDN'T leak. The restaurant had good service and good food. The prices at the restaurant were commensurate with the service and food. Highly recommend this hotel and plan to go back.

the room was gorgeous! had a nice big balcony, room was very clean and spacious. the hotel is located by the lake, so I was able to go for a nice jog in the morning.

Location location, Location! Herastrau Complex sits on Herastrau Lake, the largest in Bucharest. The rooms are large, clean and some even have a balcony. The breakfast has everything you could possibly want and the dinner portions are quite large. They are currently doing renovations, but this does not impinge on your stay. Spring and Summer this is where you want to be.

Terrible sewerage odour upon entering the room, which in fairness dissipated after leaving the outer door open for 30 minutes or so. We had a double room but they gave us a single duvet. Found a couple of plates of food loitering at the top of a flight of stairs, one of which stayed there for three days next to a fire door propped open with a fire extinguisher. Quite a drab experience.

That was a great place with nice breakfast and frendly staff but the couple of things distroyed our impression: the night club nearby ran with loud music overnight from 06.00 PM untill 05.30 AM.No power sockets available even for hair dryer, no hooks for towels.

This hotel is a nice place and fairly close to the center. It's real appeal is that it's right in the middle of the park. Super quite. It's certainly not 5 stars but it is clean and people are nice. I would recommend it.

Booked our last night here to be near the airport, although quite far from the city cente.

Would have liked to stay longer to enjoy the park and lake.

This hotel was very nice. The whole hotel felt brand new, with the wonderful smell of new carpets and furniture. Our room was very clean and very comfortable. Wonderful restaurant on the lake, with delicious food! Being on the lake meant the hotel was very peaceful. We walked around the whole lake to the heritage museum, it was a long but nice walk. It was a little tricky to find. Follow signs for "Complex Herastrau" and when you are in the complex the hotel is sign posted.

I enjoyed my brief stay at the hotel Herastrau. The best part of the hotel is its location and surroundings along the river. The only down side in my view was the staff at the adjoining restaurant, who were not very friendly.

The 7% discount on meals at the hotel restaurant is at the waiter discretion. Meal quality 3 out of 5. A/C not working and no lift in the building so had to carry all luggage down the stairs.

The area around the hotel was really nice, with the lake and paths. We ate at the restaurant and absolutely loved it! They were doing construction on the outside of the Hotel and it was very loud, unfortunately right at the same time we were hoping to take a nap from our busy day. And the entire Hotel smelled like smoke, even our "non-smoking" room, which was a bummer.
