Just stayed for one night as travelling from UK to the Alps and used this as a stop. Hotel is in a great position to just walk to local amenities. Plenty of restaurants and bars. Although parking is not in the hotel itself, there is a good public car park literally 20 yards from the entrance to the hotel. Parking overnight is free from 1900-0800 and a couple of hours either side was only about 3 euros so inexpensive.

Check-in staff was very kind. This was clearly a "3-star hotel", though everything was clean and what I needed for a 1-night stay. Very close to the pedestrian "downtown". <15 min walk to the train station and the big theatre. So a good choice. Critical points: my room was small and 2 people would have been pretty cramped in the room. I found it expensive for what it was and I expected more for the price compared with other hotels in small french cities. Maybe Chalon-sur-Saône is an expensive place?

I stayed only for one night. The room was okay, clean and quiet. Value for the money. The parking is near but it is for small cars only but it is in a guarded spot. The location is excellent: the lively center is only a few minutes away and so is the river Saone. The city itself is quite lovely.

The location is good for the centre of the city. The reception section of the hotel, is very characteristic building. Most the rooms are located in the annexed building behind he reception, which are secure and in keeping with the theme. The rooms are however very small and "pokey", as you walk through the door it's difficult not to walk into the bed. The has been decorated with a modern style, however now in need of a freshen up, as there are those unsightly marks on the walls and skirting boards. The bed, mattress and pillows were actually quite comfortable (seems to be a promotion with Kyriad at the moment), the bathroom isn't very inviting but actually the shower was powerful and did the job! Coffee and tea facilities are there, but at the bare minimum. I didn't take breakfast there, as I tend to find them over priced and disappointing, instead I had a delicious coffee and pain du chocolat in the bakers on the corner. One benefit is that the car parking albeit not secure is free until 9am in front of the hotel.

Hotel was clean. Access to the room was poor with many steps, no lift and 3 flights of stairs.

Very charming old hotel. No elevator though. Good location--you can take the free minibus right across the street for sightseeing and getting to and from the train station.

This is an old hotel currently being renovated and we were lucky enough to have an upgraded room which was small but adequate with an excellent new bathroom. The staff were wonderful and we appreciated their excellent English and their help with planning our sightseeing around Burgundy. A good value hotel.

Staff was great in notifying of the market day and giving directions to several other areas. Room was fine with an adequate bathroom. TV had 2 English speaking channels.

Surprised that this is classified as a a three start hotel! No shower, tiny bathtub, not sure how one is supposed to clean oneself!

The hotel is a block away from the historical part of the city, and it is located is near the laundry mat, restaurants, stores, cafes, etc. The room was small and comfortable. The only drawback is the lack of an elevator. I would go back.

Great location near many restaurants and shops, yet the room was very quiet. The room seemed very recently renovated and was very nice. We had to pay for public parking, but it was reasonable and very near to the hotel. We arrived on a lovely summer evening at around 8:30 and atmosphere near the hotel was great. Busy restaurants open to the sidewalks and loads of people out and about
