Firm but really comfy bed, openable windows which was nice, breakfast had many options but the coffee was … nothing special. The baths were nice, good & hot, with a sauna and cold-bath too.

There was one twin bed for 3 people. Totally unacceptable. Manager argued with us that the room was big enough for 3 people on one twin bed. When asked for a bigger room they wanted to charge more.

Room was terrible, we check in but we didn’t stay even 30 minutes.( we were planning to stay 2 days)we checked out and came back.It is not a hotel problem . It is your marketing problem.bad experience for the first time.

Excellent staff. Bathroom is well appointed. Absence of microwave in room made it less convenient but there is a communal microwave. Free onsite laundry a major plus (pay only for drying). Did not have a chance to visit in-hotel onsen but they offer tattoo patches. Very conveniently located next to a Family Mart. under 1 km from Takasaki Station.

Friendly and professional check-in staff. Some staff used a translator which worked great.
The “onsen” hot springs is the reason why a Dormy Inn is always a good choice. (Usually open from 15:00~10:00 next morning - so anytime at night)
Yes rooms are small - on par with most business hotels - but the sauna and hot spring options are worth it. Free ice cream afterwards. (Yoghurt drink in the morning) a bowl of ramen for an evening snack.

It was unfortunate that the Expedia listing did not mention anywhere that tattoos were not allowed in the baths. I would have booked a different place had I known.

Short walk from Takasaki station. Staff were able to communicate in English. I asked for extra pillow, and was surprised by the many options available - soft, hard, down, etc. Was really impressed by the customer service of the front staff.

Great hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Very convenient for Takasaki Station (7 minute walk with heavy suitcase). Gave me a nice map with details of nearby restaurants. Even got a free beer at recommended yakinikku.

Very cute hotel that's slightly nicer/more modern than the other options near Takasaki Station. The staff is super friendly and willing to help! Be prepared to speak to them in Japanese, though.

Room was decent !
Apparently the hot spring is great but I passed because I was a solo traveller and there was a big sign in the elevator saying "No Tattoos" ... lol

A few blocks from the train station. Onsen on the top floor. Good breakfast buffet and complimentary 1/2 ramen portions in the evening. Decent wifi.

I often stay at hotels of dormy inn groups and this was as good as others. The room was clean, cozy, and well functioning, the breakfast's also good. But I think that the temperature of hot spring and sauna was a little low to me.
