We’ve just returned from our holiday in Marrakech, and while the city itself was a fantastic experience, our stay at Riad La Perle de Marrakech was quite disappointing. On arrival, we found a stark contrast between what was advertised on Expedia and the reality. Basic amenities were missing — no kettle, no proper lighting, no water glasses, and no tea or coffee provided in the room. The air conditioning was barely cooling the room, making it very uncomfortable, especially at night. It seemed like regular maintenance hadn't been carried out. The shared swimming pool was poorly maintained, and to make matters worse, there was no help or staff available if you needed anything in the late evening. Overall, we loved our time in Marrakech, but the accommodation really let the experience down. Hopefully, the management takes these issues seriously and makes the necessary improvements for future guests.

A very happy stay. Suella (so?) couldn’t have been a better host. Truly felt appreciated as the ‘crazy Englishman’. The only downside was finding the riad but that was the fault of map apps. I would recommend this beautiful place to all

This is a medium size house in a busy bit of Marrakech. We were taken down alleys ways by our driver into a small black door. Inside we found a peaceful orange courtyard. The rooms we were given were small but comfortable. The little dipping pool was great for cooling off at the end of the day after walking the busy streets of Marrakech medina. The breakfast was plentiful and we had one evening meal which was a fabulous tasting beef and prune tagline homemade that day. The best thing about this Riad was the owner and her daughter. Service was excellent, suela helped us with advice on where to go, chatted to us about our day and even helped me with a missing button on my shirt. I’d highly recommend this riad for service and value for money.

Very plesant old riad. To get to the hotel was a mission as the narrow street are not signed and there are so manny different ways to get to the riad and no signage outside so looks like all other houses from the front. Suggest the owners invest in some printed directiins of around the riad so guests can find there own way back instead of paying the kids to bring you back. So so e literature about the area would help. When asked about local places just generalised directiin was given. Actual Riad was well hidden and no signage outside to show this is the right place. Room was very small with double bed that was so noisy and mattress was on chip board's so sleep was not comfy. Breakfast was traditional only. Toilet and shower was litrally 2 steps in front of toilet, so no extra space . As the toom was so cold had to get additional oil filled heater which was supplied. No fridge in room so guving it 4 starts is a wonder. If accuray described then it would be a plesant old traditional place to stay when in Old Madina.

This is a good place to stay to experience the Medina! I enjoyed the Riad and our host was gracious and wonderful to work with. Very responsive and great with recommendations for a tour. It is about a 15-20 walk from the main areas for tourists, but there are souks and lots to see along the way so the time flies by.

A great place to stay. The rooms were nice and always kept a good breeze keeping them comfortable even without the use of the room air conditioning system. The woman who runs the riad was very helpful and spoke multiple languages including English and French. She's also a great cook.

Wouldn't recommend. Service is pretty average, not warm and welcoming like other riads. Felt more like it was an inconvenience to have us there. Didn't pick this place, hotels.com relocated us here to their expensive suite. Thought that would have bought us some goodwill, but apparently not. Room seemed clean but the bthroom smells of raw sewage. Breakfast, just skip it. Not worth it. Bit of bread and coffee. Paid 100 dirhams for their shuttle to the train station in the morning. Driver or riad owner decided that us making it to the station was not a priority. He drove away from the direction of the station and dropped the owners daughter off to school. He then seemed annoyed when we left him a small tip wanting more. Maybe if he had dropped us at the station since we paid 100 dirhams for it.

Souhlia was a wonderful helpful hostess and made our stay really great. She gave us useful advice on all aspects of our visit and we spent several evenings in her company over delicious home-made meals. We would definitely recommend her riad for a local and friendly experience in Marrakech with thanks from "les jeunes" Irene and Werner

The hostess was very pleasant and truly enjoys her job. My luggage did not arrive for 3 days and she was very conscientious about checking several times a day until it arrived. We reserved the triple suite, which was not available, however she refunded the difference in price and was able to accommodate us in separate rooms when available. Due to the nature of the way the Medina is set up, the Riad is difficult to find on your own, I recommend arranging airport transfer ahead of time.

- This is not a hotel. This is a 5 room house - Hotel location makes you feel unsecure. - Room was cold and unpleasent - Breakfast was only 2 different type of bread just 1 marmalade and orange juice - Commuting was diffucult for a foreigner - The pictures and the hotel dont give the same feeling. I would never stay at this hotel again.

Highly recommend booking transport through hotel to save the trouble of taxis overcharging and leaving you in an area where you have to pay someone to take you to the Riad. Souhaila was so helpful with every thing and she gave us advice on how to navigate the maze that is the old city. Highly recommend you stay here! It's a beautiful hotel.

This hotel was advertised as a 4 star hotel, and it was hard to see how it got this rating. If it was advertised as a 3 star we would have been very happy with it. The 4 star was inaccurate and misleading.

A small Riad which has a high 4 star rating on Expedia, failed to live up to expectations. The quality of this hotel was little more that of a basic guest house, with limited facilities, small room , and very cold at night and at breakfast with no or minimal heating. The pool was a dip pool , not a swimming pool. There was no TV in the bed room only one in the owners living room which had to be shared with the owner and her 11 year old daughter. A 4 star establishment should have proper heating and airconditioning, a decent swimming pool, a menu and pricelist for food ,room service etc. There was no price list, food had to be preordered if required. The room was cleaned each day. When the sun came out the upper levels were warm. The location of the Riad was poor ,situated at the far end of the medina in a very run down area filled with many people who tried to beg . The breakfast was poor, with the same /similar bread jam and honey and cold coffee served each day. The internet connection was erratic.

From a network of alleys a door opens on a traditional and very welcoming riad. Interesting architecture, good breakfast. A fifteen minute walk from main square but this was a plus; this part of the medina feels less touristy, more 'authentic'. Taxi cannot drive all the way to door and you will need to ask the way.

We had a great week in Morocco and stayed at this Riad where the lady looked after us and we had no issues. We took the Deluxe Room which was definately a great option as it is very spacious and had a nice exterior seating area. I would recommend this Riad. The riad is hard to find but once you know where it is then you will be ok.
