I liked being close to so many stores, restaurants and the beach.

Awesome for the value. Hotel location is on the street where all shops and restaurants are and only 2 blocks from the beach.

What is ridiculous is that everybody in the neatby apartment on the hill can see straight through the huge bathroom window when you're taking a shower, and there is no way to prevent it What is worse is that you may not even pay attention to that fact so that women can essentially be molested visually without even knowing it Normally, Peeking through a window at somebody who is unclothe would be a very serios crime; this hotel encourages it -- there is no warning or way for people to know, if they're not paying attention, or at night, that they are being viewed in the nude at leisure by anybody standing near their window in those apartments above.

I stayed here for my short solo trip and I had a relaxing stay. Staff was very welcoming and knew other languages. This will be the place I’ll be staying next time I’m in town!

The hotel was just ok. But they wouldn’t let a friend visit for 30 minutes til the rain stops.

The best thing about the hotel is the staff. From reception, restaurant to housekeeping. They are helpful, friendly & welcoming. Ioberto at reception is fantastic.

Hotel is extremely dirty. Staff barely speaks English and is not able to provide basic information about sighting tours and nearby attractions. Breakfast would be decent if tables were properly cleaned.

Maid stole $200 from my wallet. The staff wasn't helpful at all dealing with this. Instead of helping me they suggested my girlfriend is a prostitute and she probably stole it. Also, the bed wasn't comfy. I got two twin beds instead of a queen. Otherwise it was okay.

Front-desk (Eliabe) and porter (Rafael & crew) services were above expectation. Free buffet breakfast had all the desired items: bread, cereal, cheese, egg, meat, milk (no 2%-fat) and juice choices. The hotel, 2.5 blocks to the beautiful Ipanema beach, offers free carry-out beach towels. It’s located in Visconde de Piraja, where bakery, coffee/tea/wine, clothing, electronic shops abound. So many restaurant choices (Baked Paderia for coffee/pastry, Spettacolo Grill for lunch/dinner). One/two currency exchanges in the area.

Variety of food, friendly customer service. There are about four steps to reach the elevator from reception and there was always a staff member to help with the suitcases up and down. We would stay there again.
