Overall a very nice clean and excellent location for Harrogate. The breakfast was really good and all the staff very helpful and friendly.

Nice looking hotel, a little tired in the room we were in however it was functional and clean. If you want parking you need to pre book even if its disabled parking however there is parking a short walk away. Very close to the Harrogate shopping area and local pubs, bars and restaurants.

Arrived on the Saturday at 1600pm...reported to reception no hot water. Told it would be sorted, on leaving to go out at 1900pm still no hot water...told by reception you can have a shower when you get in from your night out. Next morning still no hot water and told on leaving that it would be sorted that day. We were on the third floor room 329 i think Mr and mrs Jones. We were fobbed off and there was no remorse from reception. No one offered recompense or anything. Very poor as we have stopped there on many occasions, but no one seemed to care.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel for 2 nights with my 2 dogs. The rooms were very clean, and the staff were absolutely lovely and welcoming. It was a comfortable and pleasant experience, and I’d happily stay again

Stay regularly here so conveniently located Pleasing accommodation and staff. Spacious rooms and exceptionally clean.

Room 369:The bed was against the wall one side so one of us had to climb over the other to get in bed and out. There was only one light, on the table side so getting up in the night was not good. The shower was just adequate. Shower head needs some adjustment.

I just needed a room as visiting family. Room for 2 nights was cheapest in town when I wanted to stay . Large clean but sparsely furnished room. Totally adequate room and bathroom. Nice and quiet despite a large wedding going on downstairs Super friendly and helpful check in staff.

The hotel is tired and not very well kept. Very expensive for what it is. Very limited parking. Would not stay there again. It is well situated for the central of Harrogate if that is your prime criteria.

Stay was very good. Had just one glitch. Four of us came back from an afternoon of exploring Harrogate, and decided to try the hotel restaurant rather than going out again. It was about 6:00, and the dining room was empty.The host/ manager asked if we had a reservation, we didn’t, but since there was not another guest in the restaurant we figured they could fit us in. No, they said they talked to the chefs and couldn’t do it. We were stunned and disappointed that they gave us no options other than to go somewhere else, which we did.

Lovely classic architecture and ambiance

Excellent location right in centre. Easy parking around hotel. Lovely park close by. Easy walking distance around shops, bars and restaurants. Reception very welcoming & friendly. Really helpful about parking options around city. Hotel is very nice traditional but due to age bedrooms could do with some modification. Walls not very well insulated so could hear noise from adjoining rooms

Fantastic stay..

Beautiful old hotel. Immaculate condition considering its age is 178 years old. Perfectly located writing in the centre the entire experience from start to finish after booking was fantastic. The staff were communicative from the off. Catering to every request. We ate in the restaurant everything was superb. Special mention to Belinda in bars.
