One of the most accessible and social hostels I’ve been to in Europe! Really amazing people and easy to cultivate a friendship with people!

The Design Hostel was a great stay in Split! I haven't stayed at a hostel in many years and we found the staff to be very friendly and the room/common areas to be clean. There is a large supermarket next door where we picked up snacks, breakfast, and coffees. It's a bit further out of the central area of Split than I originally thought, however it's conveniently located to a major bus route and we easily navigated the city via transit. If we ever find ourselves in Split again, I would stay here.

The front desk people said that renovations were happening so no kitchen. Some one asked for a spoon and was brought a dirty one and told to wash it themselves. The showers were not well cleaned and the bathrooms often smelled of urine. There lockers are small and oddly shaped so luggage doesn’t fit. It was easy to catch the bus into the main tourist area but not many restaurants close by. The mall is a 10minute walk.

My experience from the moment I arrived and left 101 dalmatinac was wonderful no complaints fast and efficient check in. Excellent staff by reception and restaurant staff were so helpful. Everyone was happy and smiled throughout my stay. Everyone was easy to get along with, Ivan was brilliant and could easily have a laugh with and the other colleagues by reception were helpful in the morning and evening. All the rooms were so clean and where possible the room match ups were brilliant with people that had similar interests. All the people in the hostel are easy to speak to and everyone was friendly. Family friendly with things for everyone to do locally. Help was offered 24/7

We were given a 6 bed for the two of us. The room was comfy but not cleaned most days apart from given clean towels most days. Other then that staff was friendly and helpful. About 20-30min walk which is straight down main road to city.

This hostel great for the price! Super nice hostel with everything you need near-by. From local transport to old town or even the airport, great common area to meet fellow travelers, and a cafe which can be entered within the hostel. Had an amazing stay thanks to the staff and easily making friends. Would gladly stay here again. Only downside is it so far from everything. Also lacks a kitchen which would of been nice. Tips to improving, maybe convert cafe to a bar.

I decided to stay here because of good reviews and the price. The room and bathroom were clean and it had a modern style to it. It's a bit far from the Old Town area to walk, but the bus stop is just right outside and it's about a 15 min ride there. There's also a nice grocery store right next door. The beds were comfortable and the wifi strong. It was my first experience at a hostel as a solo female traveler and I felt safe enough here, but I forgot how hard sharing a room with strangers can be. Esp. ones that are rude and come in the middle of the night. I think if I got a whole room with a group of friends on the same schedule as me, it would of been a better experience, but the hostel itself was fine.

Very comfortable for all. We use the hotel as a base on our bike riding week from Zagreb. Location was easily accessible and we rhen used the local Uber cabs to take us back and forth to the old town at a modest cost of about £3.50 per ride. All in all a good low cost base location for visting Split

The hotel was clean. I stayed in a 6 bed mixed dorm room. There was a shower and toilet in the room and they both had separate rooms so they both can be used simultaneously. There were also lockers with keys provided in the room and it is first come first serve. The check-in process was pretty standard. The room wasn't ready when check-in started so we had to wait another hour. The girl at the front desk wasn't that helpful about providing check-in information and had an attitude. My friend and I rented a car. Luckily, there is parking available on site. There are only two spaces that are marked for the hostel, but if you ask the front desk, they will inform you of the other spaces that can be used for parking. What was great about this hotel was that it was next to a store similar to a Costco or Super Walmart. It was easy to get toiletries and any other items you may need. There is also a currency exchange place in this store (it was a yellow booth near the entrance) and the exchange rates were a lot better than what I've seen around the other currency exchange places. Also, if you get hungry, there is a quick and affordable food stand right in front of the store. There is a bus line that goes directly to Diocletian's Palace, but it is a fairly far walk from the hostel. After finding the bus stop, 2 scheduled buses never came (it wasn't a holiday and several people were waiting). Eventually, my friend and I ended up taking an Uber to get around, which was super convenient.

I had a great stay, just one night. A little far from town but the cleanliness and modernness of the hostel made it worthwhile staying!

The hostel is very clean, comfortable, good air conditioning. The only problem was that it was quite far from the beach and we had to get a bus there and the buses are frequent but quite unreliable at times. Met some great people though and would definitely recommend.

the hostel looks cool ,only one thing confuses me that its a mix room. Also, the public rate on the current day was way cheaper than my booked price.
