Clean warm room with everything you need.

A little tired looking

The rooms were quite dated. Mousetrap under the bed! Bins did not get emptied. Horrible stains on the wall. Hot water was dangerousely hot. Pub was lovely and staff were great.

The staff, breake and bar area were good. The room (No13) was terrible.

Staff friendly and helpful. Food hot dinner at night and breakfast. Room clean. Hotel decoration requires attention and updated. Outside windows paint peeling and damp patches on window ingoes.

The room was ok plenty big enough, the bed was a little small a very hard to sleep on so didnt have a great nights sleep the staff were ok

Wonderful as always

Room was generally clean but dated and below average condition. No fan in the bathroom, a tap thar wouldn't turn off and a TV that wouldn't work - reported the latter to reception but not addressed. Staff in the restaurant are very friendly. Parking is available but spaces can be limited and are quite tight in places.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful, apart from knowing nothing about the local bus service. The food in the restaurant was really good, plenty to choose from. The only thing I couldn't bear was the loud music playing every morning at breakfast. It is definitely not for those with sensory difficulties or preferring a peaceful start to your day. I was quite peeved that on arrival, the booking price had increased by £97 which was a bit of a shock. Keep this in mind - prices change daily apparently. There were issues with the TV and getting the temperature with the water but house keeping came and sorted this - and the bath is extremely slippery. It's set in a lovely location with plenty of shops and places to eat. I would definitely recommend it.

Greene King really need to spend some money here. The pub and restaurant downstairs are very nice, the staff are very friendly and helpful but the room is so, so tired. That was most apparent in the bathroom, which was very small, dark and the toilet leaked a little.

Great location.

The staff were friendly, kind and professional from management to cleaners. They make this place work. The downside, for me was the poor wifi. It was important to me and lets the place down. I will return here despite this, because of the people.

The rooms are dated, the bathroom was in need of upgrade or just basic maintenance, the shower curtain needed replacing, it smelt damp and made the whole room smell. For where the hotel is, it did not suit it's surroundings, the pub downstairs was kept in good order but the breakfast was lacking in flavor and the bean portion was worse than Wetherspoons.

Firstly great staff,however, hotel,room and food,tired ,mediocre and expensive .

Quiet pleasant surroundings, very good food, attentive and friendly staff.

We had a lovely stay, the room was fantastic, the food very good and the staff really friendly. Will definitely be back.
